  1. I spoke to him and i think the inner bearing is not seating properly. He had difficulty fitting the pin which is why he resorted to a knockometer!
  2. If it's binding then something is not right. How tight did you do up the nut. You can call me if you like.
  3. It's got a tab on it buddy and fits in the slot on thew stub axle. Clean the grease off and you'll see it.

  5. Wire wheels, V8 and a scoop make this more hotrod style but i must admit i was influenced by a fellow with a 393 Powered Zed before i built this.. I like this one more than my 2 Seater. Oh and i got some new stuff going on with the engine to take the Nitrous.
  6. They are just a different shape on the ends and doesn't go all the way up to the inner lip like the original one does. You can extend it if you like but the rubber hides the gap anyway. Keep your old one after you drill out all the spot weld because you can use it as a guide to drill out the new one for plug welds or if you have a strong enough spot welder for the same purpose.
  7. That's bloody awful mate, sorry to hear that.
  8. So are the BAD260 Plates. Anyone want to buy the BAD260 Plates?
  9. Yea mate you have my mobile. If you want the brakes on a different orientation i have another set of brackets here that could be modified to suit before you drop in on changeover basis. Would make the process a fair bit quicker.
  10. See thing is i am probably going to put Green Zed on club Rego and put BAD260 plates on the black one. Unless i sell the BAD260 plates and buy these, kinda like my BAD260 plates but :-\
  11. Cool. If you google 260Z 302V8 Conversion you will find the link to the Zeds facebook page. I also have the jags that run book if you want to lend it.
  12. The holes are not square so you would need to weld them up and redrill.
  13. I extended the chassis rails in my 2+2 for a V8 Conversion. Anything rear of the firewall is acceptable when modifying. The vehicle is engineered.
  14. Here are some picture of completed sets as requested.
  15. R200 are good up to 330 Ft/lbs of torque. The car has extended chassis rails but is not seam welded. The car weighs 1300Kgs as it sits but the weight loss from the alloy heads gets the Cleveland at the same weight as the L series but the transmission is still heavier. I like the black too but it will only be like this for one year. I was either going to go for a stroker or nitrous. Of course you have to build the engine to handle nitrous but it's only a 150 shot so it doesn't require anything dramatic.
  16. It did cross my mind to stroke the engine to 393 but i doubt if i need 500+ horsepower on the street. Or do i?
  17. Alloy heads, roller rockers, overbore, full balance, chrome moly pushrods. You get the idea, all the good stuff.
  18. I just paid the rego on this Zed and traveled about 13.000 Kilometers this past year. Still going strong and i'm currently putting together parts for a killer engine package. Might need another run on the Dyno and some wider tyres on the rear!
  19. Here's the Drivers Side.

    WTB 240z doors

Too far gone? Must be pretty bad. I did some fairly extensive repairs on Viveks 240Z doors. Do you have pictures? Be very hard to find a good set of 2 Seater doors and they will cost plenty.
  21. As one does!
  22. Following a request i have now fabricated a Driver's side dolly for the same area. I'll be knocking a set out soon and i will post up a photo. At this rate i think i will have to become a sponsor of Auszcar.
  23. What about a gathering at the Hanging Rock car show? I know a few have registered interest in attending.
  24. /\ /\ /\ Soooo? Was i wrong?
