  1. Dale's Zed had a little rust in the same area and it's already been cut out. I cut very generously around it from the inside of the car trimming on the rear side of the front seat mount, almost the entire with of the drivers side floorpan and cutting around the Chassis Rail. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,5828.15.html Keep an eye on the above thread as i'll post up some pics tomorrow which will involve extending the Chassis to the rear including the area you mention.
  2. I think Dale would enjoy a update while he's at work , soooo More pics
  3. Talk About Porn !!!
  4. !emocleWWelcome!
  5. Two more pics of the dog leg rebuild.
  6. I would have really liked to go to Tassie but the funds for that went on the motor. A piece of tassie was still lodged inbetween the Rack and pinion bracket and the bush. Also the sills had a small amount of rust so we are cutting it out now while the car is stripped down.
  7. I'm always tempted to get a car running if it's in a similar state to yours but i would suggest get out the camera, take some pics and post them up. There's a wealth of Knowledge here and people can suggest better if they have a better idea of her condition. Suggest being the key word. Anyways welcome and Happy Trails.
  8. Heres the car back at Dales.. was picked up NYE.
  9. Maybe clean the out side of the canister as i think it's written on it. It was on mine but being a pre July 1976 car i ripped mine out (and the bracket can make a good catch can thingy)
  10. Lol i was just going to say that
  11. You can bolt that straight up and then turn the torque convertor from where the starter mounts up until the convertor aligns with the flexplate. You'll be able to see from under the car where the access plate is, there are four bolts to insert and tighten.

  14. Tell everyone Jeez!! Anyways thanks for the positive feedback Fuzzy I'll Drop in the last four pics here. Bear in mind that today all this happened in real time as to how it was posted on the site.
  15. I didn't take a picture of the slice i cut out but what i did was cut from the rear of the bar with a hacksaw and then bent one edge down. After that i fitted it back to the car, bent it to where i wanted it, and then marked it with a felt tip. It was the smallest of slices that needed to be cut out. I have one picture of it on the car with the marking.
  16. Here's a pic of the middle cut out, i'll just have a look at what i actually did take photos of.
  17. Pics of the paint going on. Dang it's hot out
  18. I think admin has changed that because another word for Rooster is ____
  19. Great, so the only things that survive will be cockroaches and 280ZX owners .
  20. The front of the bar had obviously had a tap before so i had to cut a slice out which also solved the gaps on the side. For once the bumper sticks out further than the bonnet.
  21. So into it today and i must say that the front was a lot straighter than the rear one was. More of the same as the rear, more grinding and welding.
  22. Ok i changed the topic name as i'm starting on the front bar. It's not nearly as wavy as the old rear one was but still has gap and angle issues (which shall be addressed) So i got the front overriders off Mossy and sanded them all back ready to weld to the bumper.
  23. I'm just about to log 100000 Kilometers since i bought my car (easy to remember for me as he clocked over to Zero as we drove it back from Altona to Ballarat) . Just wondering what other members have logged? If you don't want to tell i'll understand
  24. Got em today Mossy., Cheers buddy
