The matching numbers engine came out with a minimum of fuss as did the diff (changing ratio to 3.9) and the 5 speed. The passenger side engine mount is a bit, well, bent and the two bolts on the drivers side mount had sheared off. The extractors also copped a pinch too. A real surpise was dales parts car had a working clock in it :o

I'm not sure if anyone remembers the a Zed in the December 88 issue of street machine magazine that had a Perspex panel over the rear taillights. Like this one.

Yea can't you just take out the clutch pedal and weld a larger pedal on to the brake?

Orange is going to get streched back out next month but until then there's just a welding job or two before that. The rear bumper is getting shaved.

I was talking to Thomo260 on the weekend and he said he purchased one from a place in Ballarat that had a bunch of them reco'd for $100 a piece. They fit the 260 but are out of a mazda or the like. Send him a PM and he could maybe point you in the right direction.

This was the incident.

I hooked up two switches, one for the coil and one for the fuel pump. The car has no other wiring ATM and the dash is out. The car needs to go to the Crash Repairers to get straightened and we just wanted to fire the motor before it was removed. The dash is going for a reskin and there's a bunch of welding to do... It will be at the smash repair place for three weeks (more or less).

Bit of a weird thing for a non owner to start a thread about rebuilding someone else's Zed but here we go. This is dale's hidden Zed that had an unfortunate incident in Tasmania a few years ago.

Too late i took them to Cash Convertors and put the funds on a sure thing and it lost. Dale dosen't know Jack about Horse Racing.
