  1. Thanks for the interest guys, #710 has been sold. Best wishes to the new owner, I'm sure he will give her the attention she needs. I think it will be a few years yet before i can pickup another project Zed, hopefully they won't be out of my reach by then.
  2. Hi guys Im selling my 240z HS30-00710 with matching numbers and 5-speed manual gearbox, dual hand throttle/choke. Listed on Gumtree today (should be up in a couple of hours per the website) Asking price is $15K Located in Park Holme, South Australia. Model: 240z Location: Park Holme, SA Price and Payment Conditions: $15,000 cash in hand Item Condition: Fair Body: Rust in hatch sill panel, dog legs, floor pans, battery tray Mechanical: Requires towing Registration: No Engineers Certificate: Not applicable Contact Details: PM for contact details In 2011 the engine was rebuilt by JH Southcott, shock absorbers and bushes were replaced, and a new alternator fitted. Standard manifold has been swapped for a header, everything else is stock. She has been in storage for a couple of years now and I don't think i will be able to give her the time to get her back on the road again. A new battery and a review of the engine loom would be needed to get her running again. Rust is in the usual places (hatch sill panel, dog legs, floor pans, battery tray). I also have numerous spare parts (hatch, bonnet, doors, door cards, original fender mirrors, headlight cover kit, seats, gearbox, spoiler + more) and would be happy to part with them all for an extra $1500 to the buyer of the car. PM me for contact details. Daniel
  3. Damn Huw, sorry to hear it buddy. Hope theres no difficulties getting her back in shape soon
  4. Gets alot of attention from the ladies...mostly squints to read what it says (i like to think that they're winking at me with both eyes)
  5. Thanks NZeder, that sorts that out. Ill followup on the lead you gave me for badge differences, hopefully I can find the post. Cheers, Dan
  6. Hey all, iv been reading though a few of the older posts about JDM badges on 240z, and have really confused myself now & need alittle clarification. What is the difference between a fairlady Z and a fairlady 240z (yrs of production & specifications etc)? Why im asking is I want a JDM look & am stocking up on badges. With the hatch I have read about a fairladyZ/Nissan combo & a fairlady(noZ)/240z combo, but cant find images or a clear explanation of what the differences mean. Cheers, Dan
  7. Hi Rev, Looks amazing, definitely inspiring me to get some body work & paint happening those mirrors are fantastic, where did you get them from? Dan
  8. excellent! Ill see what I can do with that. Thanks Lurch
  9. Hi guys, Im looking to repair the finisher on my floor console, its the plate which contains the choke, hand throttle & ?? (dont know what is meant to fit into this space) im missing the rear 6cm. [/img] Does anyone have a picture they can share of what a complete plate is meant to look like?
  10. 24, I also enjoy piña coladas and getting caught in the rain
  11. My neighbour's front yard and about 1mx2m of floor space for parts storage in my parents shed...I really gotta find my own space
  12. heres a 240z in NSW, starting price $15,000 or buy now $20K Item number: 290419325053 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Datsun-240z-1973-Sports_W0QQitemZ290419325053QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Cars?hash=item439e57387d
  13. links arent working for me... Im pretty keen to get fender mirrors back on aswell, some nice bullet ones
  14. Id heard that in SA fender mirrors are illegal. compliance with this would mean removal and plugging. Dont know how common fender mirrors on australian zeds are, but i would like to know as well. I dont have plugs but i have patches on both side that sit where the mirrors would have.
