A 4WD Caught on fire while the Ballarat Zed chapter were on the way home.

Scoota G, i actually used to listen to a lot of N.W.A (That's the 'G' bit) and the Scoota part came about in 2000 when i adapted a 50cc motor to a kids scooter and used to ride it to work at Freighters Ballarat. It had a top speed of 70 Kph.

I get keys cut up here for $33 for two and just take in the lock. Is a 2+2 or a 2 seater?

Well i would like to say it was a uneventful trip home for the Ballarat crew but i can't, coming up Pentland Hills a 4WD with horse float had caught on fire and halted traffic. By the time we got there it was all fully alight and no fire crews were in sight. I bolted up the road, got as close to it as i could and video'd the whole thing. You could feel the heat and small explosions from across the highway. Minutes later the first of three CFA appilances arrived and put out the fire in what seemed forever but only took a few minutes, well done you brave lads. The side of the Highway had also started to burn. Everyone managed to escape the burning vehicile with a hand full of horses also being rescued. Needless to say both horses and owners were quite distressed as it took half an hour for the first appliance to arrive and many motorists just drove past either unwilling or unable to render assistance. I just got a New windscreen fitted from Windscreens O'brien and first they told me they couldn't get the first one out without breaking it. So i did and drove the car down with no windscreen. Then They fitted the new screen with a new rubber i supplied and damaged that in four different places putting the chrome trim on. Then they didn't clean it and when i did i found that you couldn't see through it properly, a condition that is know as "Hazing" and also it leaked in all four corners. I took it back and showed them and i'm still waiting to hear back from them, my advice, watch them put it in and look over their work very closely.

Yep mine did the same. Replaced and worked straight away.

Costs about $65 for pack and send from brisbane to Melbourne for a grille, remember you can take them apart too.

I picked up an engine just a while ago that had washers put in there deliberatly and then the motor was turned over by hand so the washers fell into the bore. I never tried to start it but just pulled the head off and found them there. Lucky. Those bits look nothing like should come from the inside of the engine.

Welcome. I think this one was around the 7 mark from memory. Are you regional Daedalus-Z or Melbourne based? There's a few of us out in Ballarat.
