  1. Hey simon congrats on your 1000 posts. As for the last pic i threw the rubber and it ended up more or less like that, it's kinda like an ink bolt test you see what you want to see................ Not
  2. Just for other's info the Windscreen is $200 fitted and the Rubber is $150.
  3. Thanks Guys . . it still needs another 3 coats but i like to let the bodywork sit for a while and then block sand and recoat. Trying to keep with the front to back renewment (is that a word?) I'm getting a new screen fitted tomorrow. Sort of made me, you know, Happy. All the trims have been polished too.
  4. Stripping these gearboxes down for the Alloy takes about half an hour and nets you a grand total of $19

Tried the lot and it seems to run best on the Safeway 91 . . . Just better fuel consumption on highway miles with the Premium.

This is me filling up on Saturday in My 260Z.
  10. I can only think of two reasons why it won't bolt up. 1. The torque convertor has not been installed correctly as you should be able to move it back and forward freely at least a few mm's when the gearbox is mounted to the engine. 2. The flexplate could be mounted on backwards. (highly unlikley) Either way it would require you to move the engine or transmission a least a few inches to fix the problem.
  11. Lol, his/her beep was more like a "meep" cylinder head is sold
  12. Hey i recently put a cylinder head on ebay but the guy hasn't got back to me in 2 weeks so i thought i would offer it here. Seeing as the Vic BBQ is this week i could bring it with me to Melbourne. It is shaved about 1mm as well. 0four05two98four11 or leave a message at the beep. Beeeeeeep
  13. Yea same here, who gives two hoots what sort of music one listens to. Or should we all be listening to the Eagles or Vanilla Ice? Don't you guys have cars you could be workin on Right Now? :P

  21. Outside apperances are really just an indicator, not reality. I've seen cars with a couple of small spots and the rust underneath was huge, other had all the Hallmarks of a rusty piece and was solid after being stripped. Honestly is rust really that hard to fix? Problem is getting the repairs to last, a lot of us here are "lifer's"
  22. The bonnet was supposed to be last but hey, i'm hoping that these pictures will get Dale revved up and we can get some Hue on his Orange Beast. I wanted to be a spraypainter when i was 17 but the only thing they had going was welding. I've only ever had one lesson and that was the rust repair day. Next episode will be the Passenger side door which i might ask dale if i can lend his parts car door so i can streach the prep out over the week and paint on the weekend. Then the tailgate gets done and i'll strip every panel off the car and do the quarters and roof in the one week, after that i'll throw the car back together and do a finishing coat with the car assembled. Looking to complete the car around April (the best laid plans of mice and men) but the under body detail and new interior may have to wait.
  23. Thanks buddy, considering the state of the bonnet it's come up not too bad at all. It's good to get another panel done as it's been a while, one step closer.
  24. Needs to cure then a color sand and buff. Looks muchly better than the old one.
