Wreck it? I'm going to do the honourable thing and save it. Interchange the parts where necessary is my plan. My funds have almost dried up but nothing my new promotion at work can't fix. Waiting for my new pay-cheque. Though if I do decide to give up this daily plan I have selected a few members that I will contact first thing, if and when I decide to let it go.

I've been avoiding this as much as possible, mainly because I know many people on here want to stab the new owner right about now, but I guess it's time for the truth to come out. IT WAS MEEEEEEEEEEEE~!!!!! My reason for buying it was a strategic move to save money. This car had a perfectly straight front bumper which I needed and I thought to myself, I might as well buy that car and see if there's any other parts I can interchange and make 1 close to perfect Z and 1 daily Z. I only had a brief look at the car as it was dark and rainy and my tow guy was in a hurry. - what I know so far is its, slightly rusted in the rear quarter, small rust bubbles along the rear tailgate window. - doors around the lock areas have been kicked in are warped and paint is cracked - locks are busted on the doors - brake drops too the floor - somewhat decent interior and somewhat decent engine bay - ROUND TOPS!! MUHAHAHAHHAHAHA My plans are to just get a quick fix and put it on the road as the other car is depressing me with its current progress. I'll start the work this weekend. I may need to rush this project as well, due to unforeseen things happening at work. Let's just say for some reason I'm lucky as of late.

www.finalgear.com you need a torrent system. Such as utorrent or bittorrent. Once you have the system running and ports configured. All you need is the activation/mapping file known as a torrent from the above URL. Direct download of the torrent is usually under 1 mb. Once you drag that into the torrent system thats when it kicks in and downloads the whole file through a multi peer 2 peer network. There are a lot of guides on the net just give google a shot.

I use metho on a range of cleaning as I work at a university where students tend to leave PCs and other hardware equipment in a pitiful state. Thought i might add a side note its a little off topic but I think its a good to share this particular type of knowledge. Metho can be used to clean other items, especially the dirty smudgings or grease marks left behind when someone with dirty hands touches a particular item. These items include PC cases, laptop casing and even xbox, ps3, cameras and mobile phones. It's good to clean it up if you plan on reselling those particular item, adds value. It gives the AS NEW look that a lot of people do when they sell products. I have a lot of clients ask me how I do it and they seem to feel its an extra mile towards the service that may or may not separate you from the rest. Other applications is having water damaged hardware. Dump it straight into metho to displace the water molecules and then flush it with distilled water and let it dry and fingers crossed if it hasn't shorted and burnt the links, in most cases if it hasn't had any current active after the water damage it will be resurrected with this step. You can fasten the process of drying by using a condenser. Do not use a hair dryer or heat gun or oven. Has to be a condenser like an aircon. There are other steps involved if this step doesn't work. Tricks of the trade.

After my expression to nengun for cusco fairlady products. They finally added some products to their list. It only took them 3 months to reply and add items to their list. But have a look here. http://www.nengun.com/cusco/strut-brace-type-os They are charging $167.86 + postage for the OS type struts for the S30 each front or rear. Fu

I still think its silly how Spool haven't made the L14 rods as a standard. How much market they are losing. But i guess it isn't known to them yet. Maybe in due time.
-
another +1 for L14 rods Of course if you can make them as hot as spool, even better.
-
nice holes in them socks.

I want to see how this unfolds. I really think getting the police involved will teach him a lesson. Lets hope he has previous criminal offences and get him convicted of another offence. He will feel the pain in these times if he gets made redundant. You can even use the damage to your advantage if you know a panel beater

Cars For Sale (3rd Party Sites) Ebay, Carsales etc..
fufu replied to gav240z's topic in Cars For Sale
for all yee hardcore drivers. http://page13.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/r55585202 Os giken twin plate clutch. Looks in really good condition. It's been pulled from listing. I guess it didn't have much interest for the seller to want to auction it. -
There are definately 5 hakos in Sydney. Babs, his tow truck guy owns one, his engine builder owns one, 2 other people who were getting their engines done at that engine builder who also know Babs. minimum of 5 in Sydney alone. Also if you have a zed and you want a engine to be done i think its a good idea to check where babs had his L28 done. The guy did the long yard. even reprogrammed his distributor curve in order to make it sweet.
-
There's quite a few in Sydney. That specific hako is still having problems if you follow the blogs over at JDMST or on japanesenostalgiccar. But a bloody fine car.

I was only thinking about that just a few days ago, spool with L14 rods and they could mas-market it around the world. Anyway spotted some stuff in Japan auction related to 3.1L stroker engine. First off we have a LD28 Crank that has been warp corrected, journal lapped and balanced: http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f80384857 Tomei adjustable sproket http://page13.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/r55223670 Kameari conrods with ARP studs http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h130051636 Kameari 89mm pistons http://page13.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/r55509277 lastly, Kameari cam 77 degree G model http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/118500164

WHAT THE!!!! you only just got it... sad to see it go.
-
sorry its not in decent condition. The rod is quite rusted and I've snapped off one of the mirrors locking mechanism. The mirrors themselves are in tact. Last time I checked they were the same size as the chrome mirrors I bought from datsun spirit.
-
Are you guys after these? http://store.datsunspirit.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=45 I'll compare both of mine to see the difference, I have an old set of black which came with the car. I've already installed the new chrome ones onto the car.

Wow those photos are amazing. Let me guess. Canon full frame with some L series prime and some center and spot weighted light metering? I'd be guessing judging by the day ISO 800 at F5.6-8 maybe some at F11?
-
Ok, here's the low down for this question. No they won't mount up. You can buy an adaptor to mount the lens up to the new DSLR bodies. But it will be in manual focus mode. It will not pass over auto-focus (AF) if the lens has AF. Nikon is very specific, it requires specific lens for each DSLR. This is across their whole line-up of cameras. Very complicated. E.g. Canon FD lens requires an adaptor to mount to EF DSLRs.

NEW Wangan Midnight live action movie announced
fufu replied to Cdr Zero's topic in General Discussions
I remember watching it a while back. The cars weren't very similar. They had some crazy supra totally kitted out winning, if I remember correctly. The zed lost by miles. -
I'm sure we have all read the article about the worker, at OS giken, scavenging through rejected castings to find a close to prime(yet still a reject) example to work on. Which he managed to get running and now races it. I'd be more worried if they, the new batch released, were previously in the rejected pile. But at 30k a pop you'd hope not, they probably remade the molds and are set for a comeback. *fingers crossed for cheap TC24-b1* Assuming they are taking this business plan approach then ideally they would want to sell more. However they hold the cards as they have more demand to their supply currently. But then again they could have sold the rejected ones after all they were turning what they believed to be a $0 product into a $30k product. During these economic times and with the Japanese financing sector in crisis(in the best of economic times Japan has the lowest interest rates in the world due to the fact that no one really buys houses, in Japan, as earth quakes makes their houses depreciate. Imagine them in the worst economic times, like currently), yea I think these are the course of action OS Giken needs to resort to in order to turn a profit and ultimately to survive. Prime example of why no Japanese workshops bought a casting too. But a better example for how harsh it is in Japan is how Greddy/Trust went bust. *EDIT* This is the link about the worker finding it. http://www.datrats.com.au/OS%20GIKEN%20ENGINES.htm
