  1. Hello, I'm chasing a fuel cap retaining ring and also my sun visors have turned to dust. Please let me know If you can help out. Thanks Matt
  2. Hi Gav, If you go ahead with some reproduction parts I would be very interested in a set of 240z reproduction door panels. I'm waiting for a shipping quote from the zed store at the moment and am guessing the shipping is going to be more than the parts.
  3. If you find a set looks like this company restraint.com.au can replace the webbing. No idea what the cost is but was planning on contacting them to do the same thing with my rx4 seat belts. My zed has modern belts and there no where near as nice as originals. In saying that I would never use 40 year old seat belts without having new webbing.
  4. Definitely go option 2 the copper silicon. I have used this to seal up a leaking waste gate flange and it has lasted years. Should easily handle being used at the muffler.
  5. Here os the link https://m.facebook.com/groups/297773177067665?view=permalink&id=809398495905128&ref=content_filter Or search fire sale on facebook. Its on the facebook Ausrotary group
  6. Just noticed a 240k project for sale on Aus Rotary. I don't know the seller or anything about the car. They seem rare so thought some one might be interested. Its under the topic fire sale.
  7. Should have checked Balinski's add before replying haha. If there is no brackets I can make them. Always good to find an excuse to fire up the milling machine.
  8. Thanks, will ask Balinski.. If not hoping for a QLD win.
  9. Hello, My 240z has always run a modified accelerator out of a more modern car. I want to go back to the standard type. If anyone has a spare with the two mounting bushes please let me know.
  10. Thanks for the offer will keep them in mind if I cant find any locally. I noticed in your build thred you use Interior-innovations for your retrim. Are you happy with the quality? Im thinking of getting all there products to bring my shell up to scratch.
  11. Hello, anybody have a set of stock seats that they are willing to part with? I'm planning to recover them so not worried about color etc. I'm in Sydney so hoping for something local. Would be happy to pay cash or if your interested I could swap a set of black leather rx8 seats in great condition for the z seats.
  12. Hi Dave, Are you still selling the Interiors? I sent you an email.
  13. My two issues were heat shielding to brake components and 115db exhaust. Baffle plate (with non penetrating bird poo welds for easy removal) fixed the noise issue. Aluminum plates and high temp sleeves fixed the heat issues. Mine wasn't interested in rego related stuff.
  14. If you line up the two trailers should be easy to move. Years ago when SSS dropped off my RB20 I asked if they wanted my old L24. The guy said yeah, help we lift it into the ute. I thought he was joking but we took an end each and lifted it in. It was crazy heavy, but we did it. I'm in no way recommending that though. If you have a floor trolley/creeper they are great for jobs like engine blocks. There low down so easy to drag heavy stuff onto. But also think rocking it along some timber would be easy enough.
  15. Hey, I am after a pair of quarter window frames. Not to concerned about the glass just after the stainless frames. Mine seem to have disappeared during one of my house moves. Maybe they have run off to join my fuel line brackets I lost a few years ago. Thanks in advance.
  16. I have a set of front and rear black leather Rx8 seats. The drivers seat is electric. They still have original rails but think they can be modified to fit a zed without too much work. Asking $350
  17. How it looks from the out side is not to important when rusting from the inside like that. Bog hides a lot of sins. From what is the photos my guess is it will need the following. Removing the radiator support to repair rust or replace whole thing. New rails at front maybe and under floor most likely. New floors New sills. Fire wall repairs And once striped a lot more. The 1/4 window is an easy fix. There is just a steel 90 degree bracket which is easily replaced. Depending on time, skills and budget its going to be a large job. Maybe keep looking for a better start.
  18. I have one in excellent condition that id be happy to sell.
  19. The high/low switch definitely swithches neg. On mine when you turn the lights on pos12v is fed to both high beam and low beam relay coils(pin85)on each. Then the high beam neg goes to the high beam relay coil (pin86) and the low beam neg to the low relay coil (pin86 other relay). Hope that makes sence. My car uses a 260z 2seater loom
  20. Its been a long time since I have done mine but im fairly sure. When you switch the lights on at the combination switch 12v positive is sent to both the low and high beam elements. Then the high/low stalk switches the negative for low or high beam. Going out to the now shed will have a look.
  21. Great looking 260. Can I ask how many litres did you get of base, effect and clear? Im not planning on repainting the engine bay at this stage. So will save some paint there. Need to get it back on the road asap. Three weeks blew out to 3 years already. Why did it need so many coats? I thought it was 2 base, 3 effect then 2/3 clear. Was your painter happy with the debeer product?
  22. No 41v or candy before so yes I am a bit concerned about not getting it consistent. I'm hoping the 41v is a little more forgiving than candy being a intercoat over the red but I'm probably wrong. Plan to spray jams and under bonnet first. If under the bonnet is stripy I will then paint the car blue and tell my wife I hate the red. So far my experience is only a camper van inside and out, two Boats and the 350z blue on the car in my avatar. From what I have read it seems some brands have trouble re creating the colour correctly.
  23. Ok thanks. Planning on hiring a spray booth this time for health and dust. The place includes a half hour bake from memory.
  24. You could probably use air line from an aquarium shop if you cant find anything else.
