  1. I was just looking through some paperwork of the engine work done just before I bought my Zed and it says 'Bore 040' what does that actually mean? also new conrods, pistons, bearings, and valves. Also it states in the parts section of the invoice an 'engine overhaul kit inc Timing chain' what would normally be in that kit? Thanks in advance, Rev.
  2. Thanks guys I'm humbled by your comments - My biggest desire is that I could work myself out of a job! No Child abuse = No Job Rev.
  3. would it narrow things down if I found out whether this had previously run in a 260z? (which I'm almost 95% sure it did before I got it) If that current setup ran in another 260 shouldn't it be fine in mine? Rev.
  4. yes it seems soft the whole way (just waiting for someone to take this out of context!
  5. The return spring on the pedal is on, it seems like it should have more pressure in the pedal which will drive the slave to push the clutch fork further?
  6. well I had a bit of a let down this afternoon. I finished bleeding the clutch (this is after a manual conversion) however I feel that the clutch pedal is still soft yet doesn't seem to still have air in the line. Started it up and went to put it in gear and....GRIND! doesn't seem to be enough clutch travel? Has new slave cylinder, new master cylinder any ideas? Thanks in advance, Rev.
  7. Happy birthday Darmeetree, man I hope I got the spelling right on your birthday! Thanks for all you do to help so many of us!
  8. Countdown is on! My son Benji was able to get new H4 headlights all done, new ignition, new gauges wired in and after some frustrating time with the park lights now has everything electrical working 100%. I'm hoping now to get all of the final 'fiddly bits' done this week including exhaust.
  9. Pauly thats 1966 bro!
  10. Oh Gav now you've really got me worried with those mankini stats!
  11. Vintage 66
  12. The original bumpers went to some peeps who at that stage had a greater need than me! So now until I get some new chrome bumpers FG has to do! I've emailed the Ebay dude with questions and haven't heard back and Alfa (my first preference) need 3 weeks! The Zed needs to be on the road next week. Rev.
  13. Hi Guys, I'm after some FG bumpers for the Zed as I don't think it will go through RWC without them! If someone has some that they want to sell (or lend for a few months until mine are made) please let me know. Thanks in advance. Rev.
  14. O.K! in Ross's defence, they came off one of my cars and the 205's sat under the front with absolutely no problem that is probably why he is saying he can't work out why they wont fit! An easy solution is to try a 185 tyre on the rim that should fix it. Perhaps this has highlighted a difference of clearance between 74 260 and later models? Rev.
  15. Hey Ross, They came straight off a 260z without spacers! Have you altered brakes or suspension? There is no reason that they shouldn't fit. Rev.
  16. +1 lurchos, way to soon! Certainly praying for his family through this time. Great that some of you guys can stand shoulder to shoulder in memory of Josepf. Rev.
  17. Gareth, I'm such a noob with these carbs, what do you mean airflows? where do I check?
  18. VICTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!BIG thanks to Dimitri for enduring a couple of cold nights to help me over the hurdle! We fitted up the electronic ignition, new coil, new plugs etc and success, still running a little rough but this could be jetting and the fact that I had probably dumped that much fuel into the cylinders trying to get it started! This coming week I hope to get the exhaust fitted up, electrics finished and color sanded, then last bit of tidy, paint and fit spoiler (front and rear) and then off for a RWC - Could I make it for the Buxton Burger run.....it'll be close!
  19. Hey Scoot, I'll take em gives me something else to try! just let me know how as I need em as quick as I can get them. Cheers, Rev.
  20. I don't mean to get all technical on everyone BUT 'L' for me stands for LAZY!, it's already in there and drives me fast enough to get a speeding ticket...so RB to me stands for 'too much bother'!
  21. Tried Bursons...No Joy! will try REPCO

  24. Just thought I would try here before Ebay US. This is what Scoot has recommended. 210 or 230 Air correctors 140 Mains 46 idles If anyone has the air correctors or idles especially that would help me out heaps. Also looking for idle circuit reducers if anyone has any. Thanks, Rev.
