  1. I too would rather do than watch! See you all there.
  2. I bought the last set of full rails from Nat0 (I'm lead to believe) and am having them fitted by Andrew from Trackart. He has posted a series of photos showing the work in progress. For anyone interested you can find it here... https://www.facebook.com/pages/Trackart-Custom-Fabrications-Pty-Ltd/366646096695933?sk=wall cheers, Sinisha
  3. Sandown John Mott sprint 4/8/13, PB 1:17.962
  4. I think there will be faster times as the track had some water on it in a few spots. It would have to be the lowest turnout to any track day I have seen, in total 20 cars today.
  5. Well, what a day! Got to the track prepared car for scruteneering and realised alternator wasn't charging!!! Quick trip to Autobarn fixed that problem, caused by a faulty charging lamp on the regulator. Missed a few sessions as a result, got on the track did one warm up lap and burst a new intercooler hose!! Back to Autobarn for a new hose, they only had 3 inch and I need 80mm. So, after some serious wrestling and stretching got it on. with thanks to a man called Charlie who I hadn't seen for about 10 years. Unfotunately Charlie used some oil to help get the hose on, this he got from the dip stick which he didn't put back correctly. This resulted in oil all over the engine bay on the following run. After some cleaning up I did get on the track finally. Did a PB 1:17.96!! very happy with that time given how little track time I had (on some new tyres). That was a very testing day!!!!!
  6. Noise is not an issue with my car any more, got tired of being told to go home at 2 events so a new exhaust system was installed.
  7. Anyone going to this? I will be there on Sunday only.
  8. One more from Phillip Island earlier in the year, my best lap to date 1:44.7
  9. That's no Supra that's a R35! And yes you're right, I did back off briefly.
  10. My best lap of Sandown (for now).
  11. Hi Gareth, Making the car quieter made the difference. The way this works is that I don't get sent home after 2 runs for being too loud! Which means more laps and better times. cheers, Sinisha
  12. Sprint at Sandown with the WRX club yesterday, did a PB 1:18.88. Finally cracked the 18's!
  13. Hello one and all, Here is a pic of my old L28T engine from 1995, notice water manifold (black with blue lines feeding it). This mod was done by a gentelman by the name of John Bennet. cheers, Sinisha
  14. Count me in as I am keen to this event as well.
  15. I'm running -4 camber on the front, 3.5 caster and zero toe. On the rear -3 camber, 1mm toe in.
  16. Hi Gareth, I had a similar problem not long ago, the indicator switch contacts had some contamination causing a high impedance. Took the switch out cleaned it with some contact cleaner spray until contact resistance was below 1 Ohm, ideally about .5 of an Ohm, then sprayed some Electolube and all was good. Hope this helps. cheers, Sinisha
  17. Just wondering if anybody else is going to this?
  18. Hi Peter, Yes the grip is better, my peak lateral G reading went from 1.35 before resurface to 1.5G after. How does that translate to lap times? My guess is about .5 to .75sec improvement.
  19. Definitely, that wasn't the tidiest of laps. I know there is more time to be found, I just have to find some heavy duty brave pills. Probably about .5sec in my driving and another .5 in new tyres. But, the faster I go the harder it gets to put together a clean lap.
  20. Thought I should update this as I did a sprint with the WRX club yesterday at PI, the track is amazing, very smooth. For some reason everyone's tyres squealed like they were in some b grade chase scene. managed a PB, 1:44.7. Unfortunately I won't be going to the Z nationals so a 1:44.7 is what you will have to better.
  21. Did a sprint with the WRX club at PI today, the track is AMAZING! So smoooooth, you folks that go to the Z nationals are going to love it. Managed a PB 1:44.7 very happy with the time. cheers, Sinisha
  22. Hi Peter, I drive my car to the track on R spec tyres, bolt on the wing and splitter and go racing! My best times to date are a 1:46.0 at PI and a 1:19.0 at Sandown.
  23. I'm in for the carbon fibre version also.
  24. Sorry Graedat, all gone!
