The grape vine is right again! Mark has the Arizona bits, he also had Centreline suspension do some work on his car and is very happy with the result. Officially there is no timing allowed during these driver training days but... According to my GPS lap timer the best lap I did was a 1:21.5 which is OK as my tyres have lost some of their stickiness after sitting in the garage for over a year.

Well, the last driver training I did with them the instructor said to me that I need to trust myself more through the fast kink in the back straight. Unfortunately the trust just wasn't there so I'm going back for some more one on one counseling to develop that trust. cheers, Sinisha

I have been busy adding some aero bits to the Zed, Rear diffuser is now on and looking pretty good if I say so myself. The front diffuser has been improved by removing the step at the entry and adding aero fences. Now it's just a matter of getting on the track and trying it out. cheers, Sinisha

I have for sale this ignition setup, it is 2x3 output Bosch modules (0227100203) mounted on a heatsink with plugs and short leads. This setup is ideal for a 6 coil ignition system with dwell set by the ECU. These modules can drive pretty much any coil. Yours for a very reasonable $180. PM me if interested. cheers, Sinisha

I will try and answer all the questions, John, it seems your line of questioning is leading to a comment from me on the quality of the parts (would that be right?) From what I can tell they are well made (a little heavy) and I would recommend them to others. If you want to have a look for yourself PM me and we can arrange a viewing. Dazda, The change is small so I don't expect a significant difference in car handling, but the aim is to get the RC closer to CoG to reduce the roll moment. I have done the same to the front and that certainly improved the handling. Craig, I'm not sure which bolts you are referring to, do you mean the bolts that hold the clamps in place? Hi John, I have their front lower control arms and caster rods as well. Contacted them and spoke about what I was doing with my car, they explained that their products are used on cars raced in desert rallies and are over engineered for most applications. So I thought, price is good, product looks OK, give them a try. Sinisha

Recently I purchased a set of Techno Toy Tuning rear lower control arms and decided to have some bushes made. As I have a Ron Tyler type diff mount I thought that the rear diff cross member was redundant. The design of the bushes combines the clamp and bush for a neater fit, this also gives added strength and allows the rear roll centre to be raised a bit. OK, some results. My best lap was a 1:22.7, about 2 seconds off my previous best which was set on the current tyres when they were new about 18 months ago. I have not raced since as I blew my engine and it has taken a lot of time to sort some issues with a misfire. Gerhard did a 1:28.8, and Ash did a 1:35.9 missing 4th. gear. cheers, Sinisha

Well, finally got my engine sorted out, as it turns out the problem was fuel system based not ignition as it appeared. Final tune is a safe 18psi boost and 340rwkW on 98RON!! So, I will see you all at Sandown. cheers, Sinisha

Hi Gareth, I have been using the PBR Performance Racing Brake Fluid BF-600 for a while now and found it very good. It's cheaper than the big brands and just as effective. Previously I have tried Motul, AP racing and Castrol. By the way, happy to hear the strut tops made a difference. cheers, Sinisha

Finally got motivated to do some work on the car, started pulling the engine apart and took some pics. Spoke with my engine builder about what happened and says it's not uncommon on an RB26 track car that has over 300kW atw. Apparently the main bearing spins cutting off oil flow to the conrod and it seizes. Anyway, new engine build starting mid Jan. cheers, Sinisha

You're right guys 10 years of racing and countless dyno runs do take their toll. That engine has served me well... Now to start planning my next RB26 (with some better bits inside).

Hi Lurch, I have been racing that engine for 10 years now, and making more power the older it got, so I suspect fatigue. A 2.6 has more than enough for me. Sinisha

Well I had a day to forget at Sandown. First flying lap up the back straight and a con rod let go venting the block!!! Then I discovered that my new spoiler with diffuser was so effective it pulled the front of the G nose down so hard it broke some mounts, this allowed it to scrape the ground under breaking wearing the front lip away.. That's motorsport. Sinisha

Thanks for the complements gents, Lurch, I tried to fit a late V8 undertray but it was too wide!! I have thought about what you say and in the future I may try and fit some air fences to increase efficiency, but first I need to try this. Sinisha

some time ago I decided I needed to improve the front aero on the Zed. I bought one of Ashes(ZR240) G nose spoilers and had Alfa Fibreglass supply a front under tray with a diffuser. Put the two together and this is what I got. Hopefully this will give the front a bit more grip at speed. cheers, Sinisha

Anyone else going to this? I have made a front undertray and diffuser for my Gnose and am going to try it out. Hopefully it will eliminate my high speed understeer. cheers, Sinisha
