  1. Got a nice pic of the Zed in action.
  2. Dimitri, that time was set on worn out semis, with new tyres and some more track time mid 44s would be possible. As far as slicks go I really don't know, maybe a couple of seconds faster again.
  3. Did the WRX sprint at PI today, set a p.b. 1:46.0, only did familiarisation and 2 runs due to prior commitments ( had to get home in time to see my daughters calisthenics concert) so I think a 45 is possible. May have set the FTD, was 3 sec. clear of the next fastest car when I left.
  4. Ooops, just realised it was first published in 2008! Anyway, for those who haven't see it enjoy!
  5. Got an email yesterday with the latest Autospeed articles, one on the first Z, enjoy! http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_112733/article.html
  6. Hi Gareth, Yes and yes, water temp down almost 5 deg C, and front end grip through the fast corners has improved. Dimitri, the lenses come with about 3cm of extra material all around, took me a number of hours cutting filing and sanding to make them fit nicely. If anyone is interested here is a link to some photos from Sandown.
  7. Did a sprint with the Maserati club at Sandown last weekend, best lap 1:19.09, theoretical best 1:18.48. Those elusive 18s are getting closer, car has a bit of understeer still, putting some bigger springs in the back and then try again. Set second fastest lap of the day, beat a few Ferraris, Porsches and a bunch of GTRs, fastest lap was set by a Mitsubishi GTO!!
  8. Back straight of Sandown 248km/h according to my GPS track logger, PI should be a bit faster (I hope).
  9. Hi Gordo, Plan to do the next MSCA sprint in November, really looking forward to it as I have done a lot of aero work to the car since I was there last time. cheers, Sinisha
  10. Purchased a set of G-nose head light covers from Mark Clapp a few weeks ago, finally had some time to work on them. Needed to trim a fair bit of plastic to make them fit but here they are. Haven't decided how to mount them to the body yet.
  11. As Gordo says a proper rear wing can change the balance of your car (and did in my case, hence the front splitter), also had to keep reducing the angle of attack to get the balance right. But in the end the car is sooo much better at mid to high speed corners and under brakes. here is a pic of the final product, this is the Alfa VP V8 rear wing. cheers, Sinisha
  12. Had a very frustrating day, track had water running across it at a few point. Managed to get 2 runs where the track was mostly dry, did a 1:20.1 and set the fastest time of the day. Here's a pic of the Zed with all the latest aero bits.
  13. Just ordered a set, can't wait to put them on. I have been trying for years to find a reasonably priced set of G-nose head light covers. Finally the front aero is done....
  14. Hello one and all, Doing the WRX sprint this coming Saturday at Sandown, they will probably have a passenger session depending on how the day goes. So if you're interested come along and say hello. cheers, Sinisha
  15. Hi Gareth, Yes it is a one off, I bought the vents from a different mob and had Fraser fit them to one of his bonnets that was specially reinforced at my request. cheers, Sinisha
  16. Here are a couple of pics of the bonnet fitted. Looks better then I first thought. cheers, Sinisha
  17. Cheers Simon, thank you for your ringing endorsement!!! By the way I have entered for a sprint at Sandown on the 11th of August if anyone wants to come for a look see.
  18. Decided to try and improve the under bonnet air flow to reduce front lift. Had the guys at Alfa Fibreglass add a pair of big vent (that I have been looking for and finally found) to one of their glass bonnets. This may not be to everyone's liking, but for me it's function over form. Apologies for the image quality, they're from Fraser's phone. cheers, Sinisha
  19. Ooops wrong pics, here is another
  20. Here are a few more pics thanks to Karyn... cheers, Sinisha
  21. Some more aero mods..... With the wing working so well I need to balance the aero better, so I have fitted a splitter on the front. There will be some vertical air fences in front of the tyre to try and get some stagnation on that part of the splitter as well. In the photo you can see a mock up for fitting purposes. Looking forward to the MSCA sprint at Sandown to see how it will go. P.S. I have ticked the passenger session. cheers, Sinisha
  22. Hi Steve, hope you get well real soon. You know, I tried table tennis once, used to call it "ping pong" until I ended up in a coma for 3 weeks!! cheers, Sinisha
  23. I have this seat for sale, suit medium to small size, excellent condition, side mount, very light, $200 ONO. PM if interested. cheers, Sinisha
