  1. I'll share freight if you find two. Don't want to be caught myself come rego time.
  2. Does anyone know the reasoning behind pod filter being illegal?
  3. Not an easy option to go the 280zx airbox. Tried it on mine when I did the conversion. Totally different aircleaner box used in the 280z. Pod filter on mine was a fairly easy option. Bracket from repco fits under cable clamp on pod filter to bolt down in front of radiator support. Why would you be defected for airfilter type?
  4. That does look like a very nice original example. I was sceptical at price at first, but maybe is close to the mark. Not that I'd be offering that much like XA1973 already mentioned. But I'd say if you picked it up close to $10k would be a nice show quality car.
  5. Yep thats pretty much the measurement I got. Lowered kings I think I measured about 280mm doesn't obviously lower by that much, closer to 50mm. Are they yellow kings you have?
  6. Front and rear are about 360mm long.
  7. Man, that looks a bit weird.
  8. From those pics will be lucky to make $4. Bit of a roughy.
  9. Wanting to buy a nissan aircon manual if they existed.
  10. I've started swapping the OEM aircon setup out of my 76 260 into my 1/75 model. I've noticed some interesting things in the process. I was planning to just install the cooling unit straight into the already fitted dash unit. Thought this would be fairly simple job. Turns out the cooler is too large to fit with this setup which uses all the mechanical operated flap controls. The vacuum actuated setup allows the cooling unit to sit lower behind the front panel controls. In the end I swapped the complete control unit from the donor car which has the later model vacuum operated controls. Then when I went to plug in the fan blower unit found it to have 6 pin plug on newer unit as opposed to 4 pin on older model. Grabbed the donor car fan unit and noticed blower on new unit is rated 160w compared to 80w on old model. Fan speed control also had changed to 4 speed instead of 3, hence the extra pins. I suspect they must have beefed it up for a bit more oomph to blow through the cooling unit. Oldmate - looks like I found the same thing as you. Should have read up yesterday before I started. Did you find the same thing with your blower fans?
  11. Less than 5 is just my opinion going on what they seem to be going for on ebay lately. Don't think many people would be willing to bid too high without him elaborating on the rust he mentions or supplies a few pics. I hope it goes for more but seems like a buyers markert at the moment.
  12. My gut feeling is it will go for under $5k, probably a fair bit under.
  13. Just say if you still need me to find one and I'll have a dig in my container on the weekend.
  14. Is it the one that lives behind the black bracket? If so I could probably dig one up.
  15. Wow another chance find
  16. Man thought I was being greedy picking up that parts car on ebay for $300. Looks like you just went one better. Congrats, keep the collecting going.
  17. Lovely, what he said.
  18. I've PMd him on another site just waiting to hear back from him. http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/shaddowedge/zed16.jpg Here's the car
  19. "Coolie" in Sydney is selling his silver 2+2 in very nice original condition. Not sure if it's sold yet but will find out if you're interested.
  20. Nice buy mate. That looked like good value if it's as good as described. It's a Datsun , she'll run all day. Drove mine 10 hours back from Brissy when I bought it and was less loved than yours but never missed a beat. Enjoy the ride.
  21. Well technically they shouldn't be using sand as a blast media due to the silica content. As for getting rid of it all, try blowing with compressed air a couple of times for hard to get to places.

    Glovebox Lid

Just make sure you ask for the 260 door and not one for a 240.
  23. I agree the whole "let's jump on someone who doesn't have perfect english" or whatever Lurch's set standard for this may be, is getting rediculous. This and your anal "fill out your location". Christ get over yourself mate. Good luck with the sale Fred
  24. Definately the relay option. Pretty simple to engineer as has been pointed out and gets to the root of the problem. Swap globes all you like but unless you get a good supply I found it to be a waste of time.
  25. You have to wind the centre of the tool in to restrict the airflow. You can only place it on the carby for a second or so to get your reading because you are restricting the flow so much. By winding in or out you adjust how far up in the gauge the little red ball goes. Does yours have the foam face to press against the carby? I have the same as yours but mine came with instructions. Then when you get to checking balance at higher revs just wind the screw out to allow more air through to keep the ball within the limits of the scale. Hope this helps
