  1. My new fav thread. I've got some 450lb springs you could borrow if you wanted. See if they work for you and save trial and error of buying.
  2. Testarossa is my earliest cars of desire! As much as I'd love to own one. I'd be scared to drive it, so what's the point. Then there's the maintenance..........
  3. Can't wait to see this thing hitting the track, with a very good steerer too. Will be setting the new benchamark for everybody!
  4. I'm planning on heading along
  5. Yeah. I'm in the same boat.
  6. I've sent an email regarding centre caps.
  7. Can't wait to see what you do with it. But think it'll be worth more that way, than a fat pizza colectors item!
  8. So have you joined the elite 280ZX 2 seater club?
  9. I think the question has nothing to do with lap times, suspension, brake or any other mechanical mods besides the L6. Basically the bottom line is. Power is made in the head, reliability is in the bottom end. (of course there are exceptions) Fuel, air, spark. Flow more, go more!
  10. Don't think you'll find an off the shelf fix for this.
  11. Pull it apart and measure what you need to do. My concern is, after working in engineering 20 years and over 30 years working on Z's. Is that if you are asking these questions, you shouldn't be doing these mods and messing with suspension bits. Pay or find someone to do it right! Sorry. Just my 2 cents

    Drive day.

I'd come, but already promised to help the in-law's this weekend :'(
  13. Would anyone in the USA know who could supply this information?
  14. That makes zero sense that they won't send to AU then!
  15. Oddly enough these USA units look EXACTLY the same as the ones offered above for $5,800 I have NOS unfitted 44PHH Mikuni's and they didn't quite look the same. Sorry to say, but feel those are rebuilt, not new. Look at the finish from sandblasting, the linkages, soft mounts, ram tubes etc....... Even the banjo fittings don't look quite right. That's possibly the factory setting and will be pretty close to what you would want. A good base tune. I've had twin su's, hitatchi's ound tops, EFI 40PHH and 44PHH I'd take the Mikuni 44PHH anyday!
  16. Was that for 1 Jason?
  17. Don't ask me...... This came up first, then the other system. If it's still for sale, then it's still for sale.
  18. Andrew240Z will be interested in this! I've sent him a text
  19. Andrew might be interested in the Perburg unit http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=8
  20. I don't think he wants the engine as well... If they are brand new, never fitted. They're NOS from 20 years ago. If that's what you're after, that's the going rate. Good sets are getting harder to find. I was chastised for putting out an Expression Of Interest, a while back, for my set that had never been fitted also. How many times are people going to buy a cheap set, then spend a fortune fixing them? It's the same theory as the cars themselves. Buy the best you can afford!
  21. Are they deeper? Or just longer and wider? Been a few years since I've looked at one.
  22. My recollection is that you use the standard oil pickup. But I may be wrong. It nearly happened once........
  23. Sometimes we have to make these choices. On the plus side. Once you have a business operation. You need to advertise. What better way than sponsoring a race car!
