Can someone please update the heading with the actual dates of this event now? 8-11th Feb. Can you also please indicate you are in or out of this event and or if you have booked your accommodation. We need to really book our accommodation before Xmas. I know everyone is holding off waiting for everyone else. But for this to go ahead we need to jump in. Ha So show of hands first then book in the next 2 weeks. Cheers Craig

Well said Simon I like your pashion and comitment.
-
OK let's lock in those dates then.
-
Hi gents, Well we seemed to have a bit of interest from a number of people at the Vic BBQ last weekend. It would seem we need to lock down some dates. I think Scott floated Feb 8-11,2013. That would be from Friday to Monday with two days over the weekend driving in the hills. There didn't seem to be much objection to those dates. Can we lock them in and if so can we amend the Subject to include the dates? We will have to get onto booking some accommodation soon. Attendees:- Scott & Wife Lurch (90%) Craig & Jodie Bruce & Son Dale Wes & Maggie Johnboy Dave Chambers (80%) Pauly (will you be joining us up there?) Possibly a few others from the BBQ. Let us know on here. Cheers Craig

Yeah let's get the whole NDSOC committie to join up and start trying to suggest how we should run our Zed Car Club after only a few posts. Isn't running their Club enough? Craig Non founding, Non Life Member.......... bla bla bla :-\
-
They look pretty good. Let us know how you go with them.
-
Ha Ha Ha Simon I love your enthusiasm. I know you have good intentions but I hate to say it you are probably flogging a dead horse. I think you are wanting to start the Club for partly the wrong reasons. The reality is that we have a Club now and all is working fine. We are financial with cash in the bank for activities if we want to use it. If you want CH plates cheap and easy to get, then don't get them from NDSOC. It's that simple. Wanting CH plates is no reason to set up a full blown Club. The reality is Auszcar does not have enough serious Zed car members. Most of them a dabblers. The main event each year is our BBQ. We struggle to even get 5 Zed cars on a drive day. So where are all the Zed boys from the BBQ (26 Zeds) on those drive days? I don't know but they aren't enthusiastuc enough to start and run a Club. If we had a hard core group of 15-20 memebers I would say yeah go for it. I would be the first wanting to help set our selves up. But the reality is Zed car boys are spread accross other Clubs and only keen on getting their cars out a few times a year. That is not enough to get a full blown Club up and running. Simon may I suggest you organise a Club meeting and book the Jag rooms to have an open discussion on this Club thing. We can all thrash it out over some Pizza and drink. As usual the Club will cover the cost of the meeting as it has in the past. We are due for one anyway and best of all the meetings contrary to dishonest rumours on here cost bugger all to put on. That's me 20cents worth. As for Alan Fields you are so full of BS in regards to the NDSOC and it's past finances etc. I can only laugh. So much to say but I really can't be bothered! Really keep your NDSOC self promotional comments to your site at your Club and we will stick to ours.

I might come along to this. Nothing on at the moment. Bikinin Models. Ahh if only Bruce was still in the Spa game. Could have been a real spectacle. ha The weather is looking OK.
-
I might have to come up for this one. You know I would like to see you all..............including the lovely Jen.
-
A man of many words our Dale. Good to have you on board. Hope to see you at the Xmas party. Cheers Craig
-
Are they picking on you Scott. Ha Ha Yeah the roads might be a bit boring but only an hour or two of that. We have the same on the hume to Threadbo. But if you stay focussed on the other two drive days driving then you will be right. For me I would want to get the long haul out the way as quick as possible down the Hume. But that's up to you guys. I will be wrapt if we all agree on Bright and make this happen. I would like to keep the tradition of us doing a big trip once a year going. Besides our Zeds need a big weekend out. Cheers Craig
-
Sorry Chris. Yeah I know you are from Canberra, you threw me when mentioning you had been talking to the Sydney boys. My mistake. Were you and the rest of the ACT clan prepared to travel to Bright? (Apart from Scott) I am just trying to guage numbers. I presume the NSW boys won't want to travel that far?
-
I am OK with 8-11th. Can someone amend the heading to "Haliday in Bright Feb'13". Till we lock in a date. I will suss people out at the Vic BBQ in 2 weeks time. Then we can lock in the date if not before.
-
I hear what you are saying about tradition Chris. But all you Sydney people didn't come to the last trip 2 years ago? And again this year we had no idea if anyone from Sydney would be interested in coming along on this trip. I didn't see any reply's with nuumbers etc. I love you guys and wish we got to catch up more often but like Scott says us regulars need a bit of a change after 3 trips there. Remember the Melbourne guys have always done the long haul. So maybe you guys in NSW come along for something different. The roads near Bright are awesome. Then I am sure we will return to Thredbo 2 years later. Having said that Tassie in the alternate year will always be on. So come one come all. Scott that place looks not bad for the guys on a budget. So come back to us when you get a price. I could only find one place I liked at $350- a night which was way over the top. I prefer 4 star but I can't seem to find to much of that stuff in Bright. Having said that there are some very nice Cabins in Harrietville 15mins from Bright at the local Caravan Park. Plenty of Parking and on or near the river. But I am guessing most people would prefer to be in the heart of Bright since it is central and lots of eating & drinking options. So let's stick with your place. Oh we might want to look at locking down a date. So peoples lets see your preferences. 4 days 3 nights over a weekend any configeration. Cheers Craig

Well done John. That is a good time.
-
Hey that is a good idea Scoota. (Not necessarily for me) Ha But maybe we could do the rounds of all cars and their owners or half a dozen where the owner can do a quick 10 minute talk on their Zed and field questions. I like it as we not only get to know the owner better but also their car. and we all know there is a story behind every Zed.
-
Will be good to have you back on board Brucy. Just no hiking for you mate. I will do some more checking on accommodation. The place I saw is to expensive.
-
Yeah there were heaps of motor bikes going up and down Hotham last weekend. Awesome drive and I doubt many would be on the road for our weekend. I saw some great accommodation on the River in the heart of Bright I will check that out as well then.
-
Hi Scott, I hadn't had a lot of expressions of interest for the Thredbo event this year. Hence I hadn't started to promote it. I was going to ask around at the Xmas Party in a few weeks time to see if any Vic people were interested. Apart from that I would be pretty keen to run this event at a new location being Bright in Feb 2013 if people were interested. I know it's further for you Canberra guys to come. But I think after 3 times at Thredbo maybe we wanted a change. I would intend it to remain a 4 day long weekend with two full days for driving around on some great roads. There is a run up Mt Buffallo and also up Mt Hotham and or Falls Creek. I did all these roads in the Landcruiser Bus but would be much nicer in a Zed. Let me know what you Canberrian's think. Is it to far? I will float the idea with the Vic guys at the BBQ and we can chat from there. In the mean time if people are interested then please advise us on the forum here. Cheers Craig.

!!!SOLVED!!! Wilwoods on rear keep locking up first!
620Z replied to dat240z's topic in Brakes / Drivetrain Components
OK something you probably never considered. What is the toe in on your rear wheels. Have they ever been adjusted to with in .5 of a deg. I they are out 5-7 deg then yes you will lock up every time when running the car hard. As I used to on the track. Sure I put the brake bias in and it worked great. But after I aligned the rear wheels the problem was solved and now my front to rear brake bias has not been used in 8-10 years. Just something else to consider. -
Gents I just got the stuff from Gareth who also threw in a fuel regulator as well. Dimitri feel free to bring something along to throw in the raffle. I will have to remember to bring along the stubbie holders as well. $10- for those interested. Some will be in the raffle. Johnny bring along your Salmon burgers although we might only need half a box? What ever you reckon. Not long to go now boys, so get shining those cars. Craig
-
Hi Gareth, Yes we will have the usual raffle this year. Those Bush's look great. Are you able to send them to Lurch or my self so we can add them to the raffle. Very generous of you to offer them. Anyone else got some stuff then feel free to add it to the Rafle. I will have the usual 100+ piece tool kit to go as well.
-
Yeah I might bring my Zed along if the weather is OK and nothing on.
-
As usual the club will contribute around $100- towards bread, butter, sauce, soft drinks, dispoable plates, ice, nibblies etc. In the past Gordo had kindly donated much of this stuff. So we should be chipping in to share the load. Let's hope the weather is kind to us like previous years. Should be a big day.
-
I will e there as usual. Looking forward to catching up with everyone. Cheers Craig
