  1. Lunch details updated on main page.
  2. As a start, you could check the connectors on the tank sender are OK. If it's not that, the sender might be cactus.
  3. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow.
  4. Hey Gav, Yes the cable mechanism will work. It looks like I'll just have to weld a small tab with a hole in it onto the puller mechanism as it's slightly different to the early Zed handbrake cable end. The R31 setup looked to be be too awkward to get working correctly (for me anyway - Ash will disagree!). The main problem being the handbrake lever on the caliper is in the wrong position, & is completely different to the Zed. It needs to be heavily reworked. I've seen the setup on Zed's before & it works well, but it was too much stuffing around for me - I'm much to lazy for all that Jazz...
  5. I just picked these up this arvo. Alum. rear caliper brackets for mounting rear S1 280ZX calipers onto the rear of 240Z/260Z's. Direct bolting up - so no stuffing about getting offsets right, etc. Call Rob for a Price (ask for a discount if you pay cash )
  6. /Thread Hijack. With all due respect Alan, you've made the comment, IYHO, that everyone should go & buy the top quality tyre, even if it is more expensive, because they are safer, better road holding etc, etc. Then you make the above comment of, put simply, cutting the springs down. As I'm sure your aware, cutting springs is blatantly illegal in all states in Aus. And if done badly are a MAJOR safety issue. (I've unfortunately seen the aftermath of a cut spring going AWOL... ) Just seams your making contradictory comments, Alan... Also, in my personal experience with the lowered King Springs in my 2+2, they are .5mm thicker in the coil wire, then the std ones. My bus was noticeably firmer after I fitted the springs. Perhaps 2 seater's are different?
  7. $170 a pair! Dave, I can get you all FOUR springs for $190! Borrow/steal/bribe a set of spring compressors (if not, buy a set from Supercrap auto) & I'll help you do it. You only have to undo the top strut tower nuts & lean the strut out
  8. Make sure your not paying any more than $200 for the lowered Kings springs, Dave. If there more, your being ripped.
  9. That sounds about right. A full manual manual Jatco with Paul Keas internals would set you back about 2.5k - unbreakable though
  10. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Datsun-260Z-2-2_W0QQitemZ220221526778QQihZ012QQcategoryZ35227QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  11. Welcome! Glad to have another 'Bus' driver on board
  12. Umm... Ring an import wrecker & ask?
  13. Yes it's in the wrong section It's not 'that' hard to find the right section to post in... I've moved it for you anyway. If you want the car to be legal, then yes you have to engineer it. As for the gearbox, go find a R32 GTS-t or R31 skyline box (71C box) These will bolt straight up. The L-series box has a different bell-housing bolt patten & it won't bolt up. Why do you want to bother with a N/A RB25 though? A mildly tweaked L28 will be much faster.
  14. Any brand name tyre will be fine Dave. Just try & get a tyre size that, when fitted, will have the sidewalls running square to the rim. This will give you the best handling
  15. If you want the 'Pillerless' look, go find a 240K coupe (these have the wind down 1/4 windows)
  16. Rev. Dave, I saw you driving this afternoon - Zed looks good! Glad to hear your coming on the P.I. run
  17. Yep, theres nothing worse then a bent shaft...
  18. Yours is much darker JP.
  19. Hahahaha... Your a classic Bruce.
  20. Apologies for the poor phone camera pic... Bruce & Scootag arrived in the dark so a pic wouldn't have turned out
  21. Bump don't forget guys - see you all tonight!
  22. Personal choices apply here of coarse, but as it's a daily driver - & I would have thought reliability would be a major consideration - I wouldn't want to risk anything for the sake of a wee bit of extra performance. Just my 2 cents...
