Hey Bam, Awesome Awesome looking 2+2!

I recently purchased my own in Malaysia, and found nearly no floor on the car. It's being rebuilt now, and as you will see in posts, I am scouring for parts. Your car pretty much sums up my dreams with the Z.

Once again, great car!

looks good,, I would have soldered those connections though to avoid any potential corrosion problem from appearing, just my 2cents.

Have found a set of rims, Performance Superlites in 16x7 with +12 offset. I have read through the wheels section on here and i think they should fit, but was hoping someone here could confirm for me that they will fit under a standard 2+2 before I order them?

Cheers

I've got 16" superlites on my 77 2+2, they fit fine, no mods needed. I've got 16x7 +12 fronts and 16x8 +4 rears, just because i thought the wider rear would fill the guards a bit better and I wasn't worried about not being able to rotate the tyres front to rear.

How much do they fill out the rear guards compared to the specs for the front? Would you be able to post a pic?

I still haven't decided 100% on the superlites, am getting a quote on a set of simmons FR-17 RBS. As they get custom made am hoping they can make them in 16 but will settle for 17 if they can't, will depend on how much they want for them though if I get them rather than the superlites.

Simmons brand new cost almost as much per wheel as a whole set of Superlites! If you have the coin to sink into them then by all means but otherwise it is a lot of cash to pay for might end up being 5mm of offset in any direction

Was expecting them to cost more than the superlites, but was hoping they wouldn't be quite so expensive. Will prob be going with the superlights then as unfortunately don't have that much money to spend on rims.

Sorry it's not the best pic, but hopefully it gives you some idea. They fill out the guard reasonably well, with the tyre sitting close to inline with the bodywork not way inside it like the standard rims but still have plenty of clearance.

That looks awesome mate, thanks for that. Looks like I'll be going with superlites 16x7 +12 in the front and 16x8 +4 in the rear, just got to order them now.
