Is that OS Giken company the same that makes small 2 stroke model engines? With my first gas car, I upgraded its engine with a nice OS 12 size CZR ..unbelievable quality. I'm sure that head would be made very wel..

hmm tell u what that Mustard 920 Desert Gold is growing on me.

Yeah I like the old 70's colours you don't see so often on cars these days (though it seems every performance Ford or Holden is available in similar to the old 70's colours lately).

Though I think the post editing might have something to do with how that colour looks in those photos.  Looks paler on photos on the tomitaku website.

Check out the link for more photos of the build.

I'd love this colour if it looked that in flesh, most other pics it seems quite pale, it seems similar to Adams resto (early mclaren orange). I'm thinking maybe something like the papaya orange on the audis would look good

the first 240 i ever looked at was 920-desert gold...(1 owner sydney car with rust everywhere)

I loved the colour then & I still love it now. Im also a bit partial to ford yellow ochre (xy-gt)..which is similar to desert-gold.

be good to get some pics of the 2 side by side.. ;D

Big thread bump from 2010, but I managed to meet the owner and got a ride in this car recently in Japan. The owner Tomitaku San was a great guy and he spoke about as much English as I did Japanese, but we had a few laughs as he drove it through the Japanese country side. Will share some videos soon.

Also the original SpeedHunters link in this thread is broken, but you can still find the article here:

https://www.speedhunters.com/2010/04/car_feature_gt_gt_office_tomitaku_s30/

Although SpeedHunters is kind of on hold or taking a hiatus as of late. At least the images and content is still there. I also on the same trip managed to meet Dino Dalle Carbonare who wrote the article back in 2010. Which was also great.

The trip was part of the S30 World Team 2025 expedition to Japan, of which I have become part of, to try and help promote and celebrate the S30Z worldwide.
