L Series automatic gearbox **wanted**

Im after a good running 3 speed auto . Im pretty sure they are all the same from any L-series.

i think the Z’s came out with a 3N71 Jatco 3 speed.

pretty sure the 4 cylinder L series used the Borg Warner 35. I’m not sure about the other L6’s though.
If you’re after a BW35 for a 4 cylinder, drop me a pm. I have 1 from a 1600 stashed away in the shed

Looks like a need the 3n71. It for an L26 76'. Bummer, i thought they are all the same.

Have you looked on Gumtree? You couldn't give these things away not long ago. I got a spare off @JDM-TOYthat I bothered to haul from NSW to Victoria with me.

Hey @adamo the one that I gave to @gav240z Gavin is in good nick mate. I drove the car with the auto in before I pulled it out for the restoration and I was quite happy with how the car drove. 

Sorry Gavin thats if you decide to sell it.

At this stage I was keeping it as a spare just in case the other box in my 71 sh1t the bed. But they are pretty tough. So I don't think it will be a problem. (Fingers crossed).

If you don't have any luck with Lindsay's 1 on Gumtree send me a PM. It's hard to price these things because it's often worth more to me as a spare than the monetary value of it (if that makes sense?)

Hi, if you still have the Z auto I may be able to do something with it if you want to give it away.  Don't know if I can get parts to rebuild it is the only problem. I'm in Crows Nest neat Toowoomba but I'll be in Brisbane on Friday.

I wasn't able to get access to my storage container due to covid-19 lockdowns until recently.

If someone is absolutely desperate for an auto box I'd consider letting mine go, but I still would prefer to keep it as a spare if I can. - Having said that each time I stub my toe on it I'll remember this thread.

FYI if you are perhaps wanting a backup transmission there is a Facebook advert I saw today for a 77 L26 Motor & automatic tranmission.

Located in Parramatta NSW you will have to ask about the price.
