Linton Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Hi all, I was at a local shown shine today with my club, as usual only two Japanese cars in it mine and a 1600 hope you like it, it was a beauty. Linton Quote
GK510 Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Thanks for the pics Linton. I just came in from the garage where I've been working on my 1600 so your post is very timely! .Certainly is tidy looking. Your Z looks like it's setting a good example there. Very nice indeed! Quote
1600dave Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 \trainspotter mode Difference between 1600 2-doors and 1600 coupes : A 2-door 1600 is the same basic bodyshell as a 4-door. A coupe, whilst also having 2 doors, has a different roofline and much more sloping rear windscreen. Quite noticeable in the pic from the rear 1/4 above/ Quote
Moderators PB260Z Posted October 4, 2014 Moderators Posted October 4, 2014 Big fan of the 2 door version. Shame we never got them when they were new. Just one of so many very cool Jap cars never found their way to Aus. Quote
Cozza Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Wow both cars look very tidy. Nice I love the coupes too. I think they look a little RX2 in the c pillar/ rear quarter, in a 1600 kind of way. If that makes any sense. :-\ Quote
Riceburner Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Nice one Linton, that coupe is tidy and the Z is still looking great! Quote
datberger Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Wow, that coupe is lovely. Thanks for sharing the pics. I've been thinking about trying to find one for a while, but they don' t come up for sale very often. Quote
Linton Posted October 4, 2014 Author Posted October 4, 2014 the car was very original never been restored and he said he would never sell it, meanwhile I have located a 240z in town that has been under wraps for years since the owner died, the son has it and he also wont sell it, sitting in his back yard now as he has no room in the shed such a shame, as I know it will probably left there to rot. Administrators gav240z Posted October 5, 2014 Administrators Posted October 5, 2014 Perhaps it's just a case of the right offer at the right time to get that car into your hands? Makes you wonder about the confederate flag. :S Quote
