  8. Haha yeah mine has the same V8 & 5 speed combo. Think we have chatted on facebook. I bought mine with the same plan, but now keep changing my mind about what the next motor will be, and also thinking of putting a Holley Sniper self tuning unit on the current motor.
  9. *from the peanut gallery* Keep the Leyland V8!
  10. haha I know how QR codes work, but they dont work so well when one is already using their phone to look at the forum. Anyway, sad you have to sell it, but good luck with the sale mate
  11. Hey Peter, that's just a picture of a QR code and doesnt link to anything by clicking it. I assume you are trying to link your carsales ad? https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/1975-datsun-260z-22-manual/SSE-AD-14527172/?Cr=1
  12. They have always had inspection reports, sometimes not that detailed, but its always been there. but they have recently changed their website layout, which makes it more obvious.

  14. Aside from how much you can/want to spend, I think it comes down to what you want out of the Z. if you want to keep driving it and enjoy when you take it out, and I say fix what you can see, and the small things that pop out, but with the expectation that rust repairs could expotentially grow. This will generally get the car back to you quicker, and should be cheaper. Also, un-restored Z has hidden rust. Exhibit A: https://www.viczcar.com/forums/topic/19666-project-factory-fresh/ Exhibit B: https://www.viczcar.com/forums/topic/30840-redrbzed-minor-rust-repair/ Exhibit C: https://www.viczcar.com/forums/topic/25010-micheals-bent-bus/ If you want to go back to bare metal on the whole car, i.e. sand blast and rotisserie resto, then you most like be spending well into $100k, that's assuming you want to do everything right, because why would you not if you have gone to this effort. Just my opinion. And like you said, you probably wont drive it as much, and be too worried to park it anywhere. But you also said you have another Z, so this might be worth doing..... In my current situation, and probably for a long time, I would fix the known issues. My Z cost me less than most running 2-seaters at the time and in the current market, maybe because of its wonderful V8 . I purchased it 12 months ago. I am not overly worried to leave it out of my sight for a while (not hours at a shopping centre though). I dont plan on driving it in the rain (need to upgrade the wipers), but it has been in the rain and that doesnt really phase me. It may even see a track day or two.
  15. Ah fair enough. Similar paint scheme, and keep the hood black?
  16. Yeah fair enough. Is that your blue Z in your Display Pic? If so, i actually think it will tie in well with the rest of your car. Post up pics with them installed on your Z
  17. I like the general look of these, but not sure on the chrome & gloss black. i would prefer all black or all chrome.
  18. Deep down you and I think half the guys here secretly want this, but for small fraction of the price
  19. That think he been on and off for sale for years, first listed it pre-covid for $65k!

  23. Some pics from Highball, the turn out was huge, and there was about 8x S30s on the day. I drove up with @Mike260 and another mate in his GF8 WRX There were a few photographers out on the day too: https://www.instagram.com/p/CeYKDASp2GW/
  24. Day before Highball Cars & Coffee @ Bosch HQ, time to change the tiny jelly bean wheels that I borrowed to pass roadworthy New wheels are 16x8 0 offset. Tires are 205/55/16 Bridgestone RE003s To give you an idea about clearance to the front struts (car is lowered at the front):
