Harmonic balancer pulley with A/C drive are getting hard to replace. Z Car store no longer have stock and could not get one locally. If you have this twin row balancer you'll be fine, other wise make sure you get it with the conversion gear. You can use another harmonic balancer and add an A/C pulley which is a bit of messing around. Mine has 13 mm fan belt for the water pump, and 16 mm vee belt for the A/C compressor.

A few photos of your car will help your advert and everyone loves to see which car it is. Repairing an original bumper to get chromed to a decent finish is a LOT of money. I'd get a quote from a chrome shop to help influence what you will pay for condition. You will be better paying more for a bumper in GC than one with dings requiring repair. Depending on your originality needs repros may be a better option. For your gear shift knob- specify in your adv original 4 speed or later 5 speed. Good luck with the mirrors. Repro may be your only cost effective option. If you have an original radio, make sure you keep it! Good luck with the finds.

I just removed my battery tray after drilling out the spot welds. I ended up buying a right angle drive chuck to take the spot weld drill. I couldn't access the spot welds with a regular drill. I haven't replaced it yet however I plan to use nutserts and fasteners so it can be removed when I repaint the engine bay. GH

Dam there were a lot of holes to weld up. Looks like a shotgun went off inside. Beautiful work. I'm looking for someone who can put old glass back in without breaking it. PM me if you can recommend a glass fitter. GH

If you haven't already considered it, the windscreen wiper positions need to change for left to right conversion. If you are asking for the bracket get the windscreen wiper mechanism at the same time. GH

Thanks 240Z. PM me details if you have them. I contacted Datsun Spirit and they don't stock them. The ZCar shop brackets are too non original for me and I could knock something like these up myself.

The hood lining is original and the rest isn't. The seats and rear struts would have been in the same cream beige colour. There were a couple of patterns in the seat. Either basket weave, or holed pattern like the 240Z seats. Basket weave example Bronze brown basket weave example Rear strut tower cover. These are a moulded plastic. This borrowed from another post. 260Z 2+2 History of The 2+2 came out standard with 5 speed manual or Auto, AM/FM radio, hubcaps, steering wheel centre padded hub, no bonnet vents, vinyl covered transmission tunnel, open console, black armrests, $8550-00 on the road. Early 1976 they upgraded the Zed, adding mag wheels, carpet over the transmission tunnel, and in mid-1976 added pollution equipment to the engine, bonnet vents were introduced, air-conditioning and AM/FM search radio cassette were now an options pack, steering wheel had a smaller stylish horn hub, interior of the 2+2 now had colour co-ordinated armrests and carpets and vinyls. The interior colours were beige/white, bronze/brown and black, the centre console with a lid was introduced.

Thanks for the reply. It may be a fall back option if the ATI damper I have bought doesn't workout. I contacted ATI directly to confirm if it was possible to add another vee belt pulley to their damper. The response was that they add Chevy big block pulleys to this damper so you can add another pulley. It just won't have the same alignment for the a/c so I will have to modify the compressor mount to suit. The damper I purchased is the 918040 The hub that it mounts to is being sorted with LCR. Some people like widened steel wheels and some don't. I like the option of retaining the orginal hubcaps and look of the car. The 15X7's will fit. I have 15x7's front and 15 x7.5 rims rear on my 2+2. GH

And you have lots of options for cylinder heads and crankshaft/con-rod/pistons depending on budget. So the block is a great place to start.

I'm chasing a L-series harmonic balancer that suits a 16 mm Air Con drive and 13 mm water pump drive. Standard L26 factory air con set up. Small 16 mm front pulley, larger 13 mm rear. Prefer new or one that has seen very little use. GH.
