  1. I'm planning to change my gearbox and engine oil in 2 weeks time at my mates workshop I could do a pic by pic thing if people want it (although it is a pretty simple task)
  2. hey guys I just received my taillight gasket so I took the lights off and gave them a good wipe and had them back on, I then tried to put the trim panels back on but the bottom part pops back out seems there are clips and they aren't holding the panels on, I was quite over it as I couldnt figure out why it wasn't locking the panel into place so I moved to the other side and both of the clips there are buggered. What can I do? I was thinking of using my dremel and cut off the clips (they are beyond repair) and just put a blob of silicon to hold the panels on. I don't want to make holds and screw them on and I am quite sure I won't be able to find the same clips easily.
  3. $0 for you? i still owe you $11 for the other stuff with e-go? i think it will fit in a bag as a small parcel or something
  4. hi guys I have 6 meters of rubber welting that is used to mount the guards to your car to give it a better finished look. they sell them for $8 a meter. happy to sell mine for $30 + postage if required. pick up in Cairnlea, Melbourne 6m is enough with maybe abit to spare for 1 car.
  5. very interested, what sort of mod required for 240z? (if it fits?)
  6. when i first got the car, apart from the starter motor working as well as the speedo, none of the eletrics worked. yesterday I finally got my headlight rubber gasket delivered from the US so I plugged in the relay that I had made earlier in the month and tucked all the wires fired her up and boom nothing, blew a fuse lol then i remembered i should have rubbed down the grounding point so 10 mins later this happened I am taking the night off going to the gym to replace the rear rubber gasket for the tail lights and give it a clean and screw the tail light trims. I am waiting for some wipers that alan is sending me and also getting a set of koni reds and king spring need to get the konis rebuilt. Carpets are on their way hopefully by next week and by the end of May I can get the floor pans cut out and replaced. Once that's done I think it will be time to find a club to join and go for a CH plate. happy days
  7. i like the stalk but I dont really like the shape of the mirror, I am surprised that there isn't a replica for long stalk cone style mirrors on the market they look more suited to sporty cars (aero cone shape and all)
  8. hi guys I am currently cleaning my interior and I've removed all the plastics and vinyl trims from the seats back (from my 240z) and the previous owner has large cut holes on the side plastics in the boot to put in some 6inch speakers, in the process of doing this, he has crack and broken the other trims as I guess this was required to have the large piece to be removed. I had a thought of just gluing a 1mm aluminium sheet on the hole and fill it up then paint, but I am not confident of this turning out good. so I am after good condition trim for: left and right boot trim, the bit that goes around the rear windows both sides and also door cards. any directions to them would also be appreciative. thank you
  9. you need a devil z in there too
  10. I just ordered a set with mats from all car carpets, $410 delivered the owner says that it will be ready in 10 business days.

  15. locky I'll take the headlight covers
  16. He had it on ebay and it was sold ( I had enquired a week too late)
  17. Hmm I see, I haven't thought about that. I guess I will park it in the later to do list. My short term goal is to get it over the line for an rwc. I will ask my mechanic mate if that is an rwc item Cheers Regarding the horn relay, I cant find the correct colour wiring it seems as though the PO have spliced a couple of wires in the relay area and I am a bit paranoid with shorting circuits and melting fuses. Hence the preference of putting in new wires and relay.
  18. just got off the phone with tru fit, they said they don't have a pattern for the 240z ? it is currently being finalised in 2 weeks time.
  19. hey mate have you tried autobarn, they usually have a good stock of high tensile bolts but a bit pricey
  20. really need one now, attempted to "unseize" the wipers and ended up cracking it in half. I had it soaked in wd40 for a few days and what seemed to be on the path of sucess was all but a dream when a light tap with a rubber mallet has split the brittle wiper mount in half :'(
  21. hey guys, just sorting the last bits of my wiring. I found 2 relays in the driver side footwell of my car, one has 2 sets of pins (6 and 4) and the other is 3 pin. I've googled them and it identified them as a horn relay and a intermitetnt wiper relay. I am going to fit new horns as the ones on the car are missing, I might as well put in a new relay/fuse while I am at it. so my question is does that wiper relay have another function other than enabling the intermittent setting of the wiper? I currently my wiper motor works when I have it on lo and hi, int doesn't do anything (wires not in relay). what have you guys done with your relays?
  22. the description says: Datsun 240z pillar badges, purchased new from US and never used. Note these are modern plastic reproductions of the original items.
  23. hey kerrigan, you should not search for images, instead in google you choose 'web' that will give you website results (it's right under the area where you type in what to search in the results). you seem to be pretty shit at searching stuff online and using the forum. I suggest watching a few youtube clips on how to use google/search engines as they really help you out. There are things in google that could help you find that rare part from japanese websites like google translation (for yahoo japan searches) etc.
  24. thanks mate, I will pM lurch for some tips
  25. The forum search gives me only 10 results maybe I am doing it wrong I can google search the forum. Not sure if the forum has it enabled because some forums don't allow things to appear on search engine. Looks like I got something to look forward to doing on the long weekend cheers guys.
