hi guys I was about to have a go at rebuilding the L28 that I got cheap, but time and space is lacking so I want to look for someone to do it properly. I am not after a super highly strung race build or something that's going to move the earth. I've read the few threads on there on budget builds etc. I just want something that for the streets, I drive my car once a fortnight. I have 2 heads and a block that looks to be in good nick. they are both N42 i think. I have a set of 40mm mikunis to go on them as well. My budget is $5k to get it done, I could drop it into the car myself. I am ready to just drop the motor off at some place right now if I needed to. advice please. thanks in advance p.s is Z shop in Glen Iris good? read some reviews on google, their website is outdated. I am planning to give them a visit next saturday first thing. Phil

lighten up fellas, when the post was up there were no pictures or anything so based on my risk assessment for an unseen, unknown car with some basic description I had come to a price of $4000 lol at all the people that hasn't even seen the car in person throwing figures of 20k etc. vinh it's phil here, if you managed to get in contact with the guy let me know we go check it out

hi guys I replaced by brake disc a few weeks ago and just noticed one of my front hub bearing cap that covers the bearing from dust and water disapppeared, it probably fell off cause I didn't whack it in enough. are these just generic ones available locally? tried to find some measurements online but haven't found any.

are all the suspension arms on the 260z the same as 240z? wouldn't mine buying them cheap, cleaning them up changing all the bushes etc and just take my old ones off and bolt refurbed ones.

all good now guys I got the housing, and replacement hose to the manifold from the usa and the gasket to the head for 110 delivered. I read somewhere the bolts to the head are a nissan item, mine looks ok but I wouldn't mind replacing them as well. called nissan they said I need to buy 8 of them... lol...

the bolts on the head on mine looks ok, but they could do with new ones, the temp sensor fitting looks like its seized on the housing.. just noticed that theres a slight chip and Im not sure if I should change the bottom one as well, it's going to be a long wait if I have to get it from nissan. Just ordered the top part (cover) the bolt is broken and I gotta drill it out. Nothing is ever easy on this car, was meant to only change a hose and clamp lol.

hey guys I noticed some coolant spraying on the manifold so I went to buy a new hose and clamps, then saw how the housing has rotted away. I tried to undo the bolt and it has snapped so I took the whole housing out. There is what I think is a temp probe. and 2 wires, I goes to the distributor and one goes to i think is 12v. They seem to be stuck I can't undo the nut and I think it will break if I tried harder. I tried to find one of ebay but I am having no luck, does anyone know where I can find the bottom housing just incase I break the thing?
