  1. Without the tach plugged in and without the coil wires bridged my car runs. So it appears its not wired in series as it should be. Dash will come out again tonight and ill have a look. I have 2 black/white wires at the coil and 1 green and white. Green and white goes to resistor and both black and white go to + on coil. 1 appears to be straight from ignition other appears to go to tach. My cars wiring is a mess, slowly fixing issues
  2. No original points distributor and original induction loop style tach wired to positive side of coil
  3. Hey all. Ive had to rewire my dash due to previous owner doing some interesting wiring. Quick question as ive put it all back in and my tach doesnt work (ignition coil loop style thingy) Will a 1971 240z run without the tach plugged in? As ive heard they wont as the tach is wired into the ignition. Because mine does run without the tach plugged in. Cheers
  4. I have a brand new hatch lock with 2 keys if you're interested

  11. Hey ladies and gents, About to undertake this mod, picked up my r33 booster yeaterday. My question is, judging by pictures posted you dont need to retain the proportional valve, but can you still use it? Means i can still use the brake warning light wiring and fewer/shorter hard lines need to be made/modified.
  12. Think you've made a typo. It says you're going auto?
  13. I think the 260z version had a hole to access the drain plug of the radiator. This looks 240 to me
  14. 2x pedal boxs on gumtree in Adelaide. $50 a piece
  15. I actually object to the color matched radiator as much as the convertible conversion
  16. Is it to suit 40s or 45s? Thanks
  17. I like the Z emblem horn pads and this one has previously been "fixed" but it is actually in pretty good condition. If the 280z option isnt a cheap alternative ill look at fixing this one up
  18. I recently used Import monster to buy a Nissan Competition wheel. Found them very easy to deal with, lots of emails updating me on my items location and postage costs etc. Postage is estimated at the start and once they actually have the item theyll refund the difference or let you know a remaining balance (depends how its packaged etc) You'll need to create an account and transfer money into it before you start bidding so know how much your willing to spend before you start. Ill definitely be using them again, good bye bank balance...
  19. Heres the wheel i got. Straight from Japan with genuine Jap newspaper. Was an interesting read...
  20. Hey all, Recently recieved my Nissan Comp steering wheel and will start giving it a tidy up soon. I was wondering if anybody had tried fiting a 280z horn pad from an American 280z to their 240z steering wheel as a cheaper alternative to buying a reproduction horn pad? Looks like the actual horn mechanism is different but perhaps could be changed over? Cheers
  21. Hi all, I have 2 matching 2" Hs8 Su carbs for sale and an untouched manifold (260Z item) that you can match to the carbs or have a spare They were removed from a running car but i suggest a rebuild. Good cheap alternative to tripples. Came off a Xj6 jag so will handle an L28 no problems Asking $650 Located Adelaide, happy to post
  22. Put me 1st in line for 240 wheel pending pictures and condition
