Correct, before Bond had his Aston run with cars, each movie featured a different make and manufacturerer. The directors chose the 2000gt for obvious reasons - beautiful, rare, sexy. But becasue Shaun Connery is a big lad, he couldnt fit in the car to film the scenes. Instead Toyota took the cars back and two weeks later, handed over some nicely modified convertibles. None actually were sold from factory.
