  1. Before I take this to scrap tomorrow, just wondering if anyone would be interested in any bits of it. There is not much left at all. Basically all that remains is -the complete rear section (from seats back). No spare wheel well, rear 30cm or so has been cut off, no hanging panels/roof rails either. Has the strut towers and the flat/luggage section, that's about it. Tool-boxes have been molested a little bit, to fit speakers. I can't see this being of much use to anyone as it doesn't get too rusty on most cars. -Firewall forward. Has a complete passenger sill (where the fender bolts on is rusted through though). Can give drivers sill if anyone wants it, but I'm taking the bit underneath the fender. No battery tray, no A-pillars, no driver-footwell. Rad section has been molested too. No trans tunnel. Almost all of the bolt holes have been filled, clearly someone went for the 'shaved' engine bay look without giving 2 shits about it looking any good. I figure none of this is much better use than scrap metal, but I'd hate to scrap it for $15 or so if someone on here is in need. Let me know ASAP, otherwise it'll be off tomorrow.
  2. Might have better luck searching for IMSA style spoiler. I think MSA has them. Love the look.
  3. Holy shiver that was cheap and fast
  4. Will pay a finders fee if anyone can find a series 1 ashtray and/or radio hiding away somewhere in a dusty corner and ship it to S.A.
  5. I've got one in my S13. Mainly for 'fully sic street cred' lol. No, but the few extra seconds clipping a wheel on or off make a decent bit of difference to a lanky Australian trying to fit in a 90's sardine-tin-on-wheels with a bucket. If you can't find the info on the internet I'll go out and see if S13 splines match the S30. You'll find that unless you have either a slim boss kit, or a slim quick release kit, you'll probably have to take your hand off the wheel to reach the stalks. Not necessarily a bad thing once you're used to it, but it's different. Mine was $50 second hand. Check ebay etc. They sell the slim ones for $120 in America I think. If you're totally clueless, you'll need a boss kit (for an aftermarket steering wheel, this will have splines to match the S30 steering shaft). Then you'll just bolt the quick release hub onto that, and the steering wheel onto the quick release hub.
  6. I think generally speaking, it's the lack of a proper, solid B-pillar. So I guess it can technically be a 4-door. But nowadays, anything with two doors and a tin top is a coupe I'd say. I'd hazard a guess that, 2+2 sellers see the 2 seaters asking a lot, saying 'hey mine is the same' and then putting their asking price at a similar point. And honestly, other than the enthusiasts, most people won't know if a car is a 2+2 or a 2 when they see one.
  7. I think Peter Hall in lobethal is regarded as the local guru... Anyway PH is 8389 6635, so google tells me.
  8. Thanks Shane. Think I'll give it a miss. Have plenty of time anyway haha. Best of luck with the rest of the parts.
  9. If you could get a photo of the interior parts up I might be interested. Maybe kick panels, probably sun visors (depending how good/obvious the reskin is). Cheers.
  10. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Datsun-240z-Sports-1973-2D-Coupe-5-SP-Manual-2-4L-Twin-Carb-/200799537124?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item2ec095c7e4 No sunroof, looks reasonably straight too...
  11. RWD, 4 seater, 'hatch' back, most importantly an SR20VET, and a price low enough to make it very comparable to the 86, it would sell like hotcakes.
  12. #2 looks great I think. All it needs is for the top corners to be smooth, rather than right angled. I.E. GT-86 design. I think that would suit the curves of the Z more than the right angles. Well done,
  13. ^^That's probably going to be your best bet.
  14. Exactly ^ so many hacks writing off and raping their Autech S15's for example. All good, means an autech motor might pop up cheap for my s13. Would be fun fun fun.
  15. Absolutely love them! There's so many funny/weird options that were available for the car. Not to mention nismo parts. Factory option knee-pads on the door:
  16. This. It's been a recent dream of mine to find a green/grey two-toned 1988 manual, sunroof, CA18DET, HUD equipped S13 and hunt down some parts to make it pretty much fully factory optioned. Retro goodness such as cool-box, rear quarter glass light-up inserts, FACTORY HEAD UNIT!!!, digital climate control, rain visors, brick lights, the lot! I have never seen somebody do anything like that. Every S13 I see is modified, cut up, skidded, crashed, repaired, blah blah. Nothing against that, but it would be very cool to see a proper, original, top of the line Silvia. I think even more so than the GTR, since it's much more common to see a bone stock, clean GTR (since they're a valuable car).

    WTB L24 Engine

Will cost more than $500 to get a motor here from the states I'd say... Send a PM to GTR240 on here. If I recall, on another forum he had 4x L24 engines for free, from the previous owner of his 240k. All just memory, but worth a shot.
  18. I think it's entirely the other way around. Unless you like mildly fizzy water
  19. Looks very tough. Guess I could be pencilled in for purchase if it looks like that. +1 for no reflectors.
  20. Might store one away for a future project if it's looking to be a limited-run kind of thing. Eagerly awaiting designs.
  21. Looks stunning. Deep black watanabe's will look amazing with that orange once completed.
  22. Interested to know; what are the giveaways? It looks like the tacho only goes to 8k and the steering wheel looks like a standard series-1 model? If you've got/know of a thread somewhere on any forum detailing the differences I'd love to read (I think you built a replica yes??? Maybe I'm getting mixed up with all these inter-forum usernames and such. Forgive if I am.) Cheers
  23. http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g96942496 Interesting, to say the least.
  24. Can't wait for someone to release an aftermarket tail-light that looks more factory than the horrid ones on the back of these.
