  1. Right, yep we have re003’s on the wife’s focus. They are quite a good tyre. Probably a little OTT and noisy for the focus though. I have a set of 16x7 +20 offset if you’re interested. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/uploads/monthly_02_2013/post-3123-144023710919.jpg
  2. I wouldn’t think you’d notice too much in those sizes. I had Toyo ra1’s in that size and liked them a lot. Unfortunately they are no longer available. Have you found many performance tyres in 205/55/16? From memory there aren’t many available. Just noticed Toyo do them in the R888R’s which have come down a lot in price in the last few months.
  3. Yeah the options are limited with 205/60/15 But Bridgestone offer the re11s’s https://www.bridgestonetyres.com.au/potenza-motorsport-re11s Also re003’s in Various sizes https://www.bridgestonetyres.com.au/potenza-adrenalin-re003#available-sizes There are quite a few performance options in the 205/50/15 size. I had 16” wheels but have gone down to 15” to maintain a bit of sidewall for the same diameter tyre.
  4. Haha, that’s funny! Not sure I’m quite as passionate as Hugo though.
  5. Considering they were an option from the manufacturer, I would imagine they would not require an engineers certificate but, I recommend you talk with your local RMS to confirm if legality is something you are concerned by. To be honest, I would be very surprised if anybody except an s30 enthusiast would pick they were not the original brake setup. On another note, I have been researching another vented rotor option whilst maintaining the original caliper. I have found a couple vented rotors that need a small amount of machining to suit the 260z hub and have an appropriate offset to use the original calipers but with a spacer placed in between the caliper halves. This option would strictly need engineering certification but will also look quite original so probably difficult for a non s30 enthusiast to pick it. I expect it to be a bit cheaper and lighter than some of the other options currently used but will see how we go.
  6. Pending date, I’m in for a bbq.
  7. Hit Gav up for his $10 one. Mines worth a lot more to me than that.
  8. Hey Mate I have one on my car but considering their rarity it won’t be cheap. Pm me an offer. Cheers Mick
  9. What are they worth? I could part with mine for a price. Won’t be cheap though.
  10. Wasn’t even close to turning into that corner. Maybe there was something on rally sage but there were no warning cones or similar in the lead up to the accident site.
  11. Haha ? I have noticed my mammaries growing since I installed triple 40’s. I’m likely to take a role as a wet nurse soon. ?
  12. Hi Paul Your car looks pretty clean. Unfortunately I can’t give you any advice but am interested in hearing others. I am also interested in your method of “but cutting” You must be a contortionist Mate ? Keep up the good work Mick
  13. He’s building a tube chassis’d 240z with m5 running gear but they didn’t send him any instructions. Weird huh!! Ive got no idea of his history but I can’t see this project making it to completion from what I’ve seen so far.
  14. Yeah, I’m with you Gav. I would have thought that if you were dedicated to keeping the original L series, you would strip the motor in Japan and have it properly cleaned and the head, block and whatever other parts you wanted, stuffed in the boot. Wouldn’t be MCM without mod’s though would it.
  15. Haha. Mine is a mild MIA L28 with 40mm Webers and will in the near future, have a bolt in 6 point cage and coil overs. Just wish I could keep up with the group s cars though. ?
  16. Ok, so they are edible but, I will wait till I’m properly broke before I move into a peanut packet diet. Anyone know if they are also recyclable or should go in the general waste bin?
  17. Bike looks great Jeff. Does it see much action these days?
  18. I have wondered for a while if the various packing materials are recyclable. I did a litttle googling this morning on the packing peanuts which look like squishy styrofoam balls and came across this site. Turns out some of them are edible. Surely they are taking the piss. http://www.lard.net/packing.html
  19. Yeah, you’re right. My car is definitely no front runner but is a bit of fun. According to Harry’s my PB at the GP circuit is 1:53.9. A mile behind you guys. I must get around to uploading some of my laps to YouTube but here is my first attempt at Wakefield Park. Excuse the lack of editing.
  20. That’s fast. Anyone know of a lap record for a real Z round Bathurst. Any configuration but mostly interested in an L series with period mods.
  21. Thanks for that. My redline is about 6k, I guess it’s quite different to have another 1500rpm up your sleeve. Cheers Mate.

  23. Yeah nice run Brett. I’m interested in ratios, would you mind sharing: What size tyres? What gearbox? What diff ratio? And, what rpm do you generally shift at? Thanks Mick
  24. Nice ? Richard no doubt has a boner, as you held it flat through the kink. I’m going to have to ask people do not post any more simulator vids otherwise I’ll be strongly tempted to investing an Xbox, steering wheel, pedals and game which I can’t afford. Bought the kidlets a Nintendo switch for Chrissy too. ?
  25. Here’s one for the anorak wearers How many of those black spacer things were supplied from factory? My drivers had none and passengers had 3 on each bolt by the time I got the car.
