  1. Guys really sorry I would love to be part of this. BUT I have no chance of getting off for a weekend in the next couple of weeks. As it is I have to work over Easter. I have a bloody stupid deadline for a film I'm working on. Someone please take some video. Sounds like it will be an awesome weekend. :'( Cheers Matt
  2. I was just thinking the same thing. What a shocking color.
  3. Happy Birthday Scoot! Don't get arrested by the ballarat police after you celebrations tonight
  4. Awesome news Pete. Man you must be excited. I'm only about ten years behind you!
  5. I'll be there for sure. Don't think my Z will make it though
  6. Good on you Dimitri. your a champ!
  7. Thanks Lurch. I got it from these guys http://stores.ebay.com.au/THE-LEATHERCRAFT-SHOP?_trksid=p4340.l2563
  8. Thanks Pete. I have been looking for one of them..
  9. Thanks guys for the fantastic words of encouragement. I was out there today. Welding away with a big grin on my face. I was a very happy boy. Man I'm having fun. The body stuff doesn't daunt me to much. Well maybe now and then. But the guys in this club get me through it, even if it is just with words of encouragement. It's funny how someone telling you "ah that's not so bad, you can fix it" gives you the push you need to get it done.. When it comes to mechanical. It is going to be interesting as I don't have a lot of experience in that area. But man I will give it a go.. Thanks Matt
  10. I've been chipping away over the last couple of weeks. Very satisfying. Hopefully in a couple of weeks I will be able to put the rear guard back on, The guard itself still needs some work done to it before I can weld it back on.
  11. Hey Pete. every time I see "Peter T's 75 2+2 " as a subject I jump on and have a look for motivation. So believe me, I 'm still very interested. Cheers Matty.
  12. What I mean by saying I won't bother welding the wheel arch back together. Is going back to my question. When I install the guard back on the car I won't go to the trouble of welding the arch in the original position. Only then having to cut and reweld it once I get zg flares. I think you guy took it to say I was not going to weld the arches back together at all. Cheers Matt.
  13. Yeah that's great Mick. I guess I will need to get some guards so I can work out how much I need to cut.. But at least that answers my question. I won't bother welding the wheel arch together. Thanks Matt
  14. I know that fitting of these Flairs has been covered before. I am hoping to fit my rear quarter in the next little while and I was wondering if I would be wasting my time welding them around the wheel arch as I would like to fit ZG guards. I am thinking that the arches are cut away when they are fitted. Thanks Matt
  15. Thanks John. That is a very generous offer. I would love to take you up on that at some point. I think I am still a couple of weeks off. Once I get my rear quarter fixed a welded back on, that would be a great panel to work on. Thank Matt
  16. Thanks John I have read your tutorial. I just wasn't sure if I would be wasting my time doing a final prime if they were going to sit there for a while. Sound like it is the right thing to do. Thanks again. I will have to puck up some primer. Cheers Matt
  17. Sorry guys not the best subject heading.. I am now starting to put panels on my car and I was wondering what I should do with raw metal panels, while I work on the rest of the car. I am slowly working around the car stripping panels and fixing rust and dents. I was thinking a light coat of primer or etch primer that I can sand back later when the entire car is done. Any thought would be appreciated. Thanks MAtt
  18. Happy birthday Jane. Have a great day! Matt
  19. Great work John. I will defiantly be doing that mod. when the time comes for a reinstall.
  20. No worries Bruce. If you can wait till the weekend I will pull them out and see what condition they are in. I found this pick of when I got them. Cheers Matt
  21. Thanks Benny. Well there ya go Bruce.
