  1. Hey dimitri.. This shell is in good shape rust wise? As you may have read I am having serious thoughts about ditching my shell and starting again.. Where are you pakenham right? Very tempted. The kids don't really need Xmas presents. Cheers Matt.
  2. Why do these things come up at Xmas time.. :'(
  3. Thanks for that Jamo I am still torn. I will give it a little more time and see if I can get over the hump. Xmas is not a great time to be spending money on a car. Cheers Matt
  4. Any excuse for a get together eh. I don't think I could fit more than 2 people in my pissy little shed. I'm sure I will get through it.. But if any one has a rear quarter up for grabs
  5. Thanks Pete. There a couple of things that are working against me at the moment. I am not overly happy how the rear guard went on. It is slightly sitting towards the back of the car, my door line is going to be large. I wouldn't mind trying to pick up another guard and trying again. I wouldn't be able to get this one off and selvage it. Then the endless rust.. So I have to work out should I persist or try my luck with another shell that will have its own set of troubles. It would be ok if I was happy to settle for average.
  6. Thanks Scoota. It is not so much the hours. I am just worried that it won't go back together so well. I knew it had a shit load of rust when I bought it.. I just don't want to go to all this trouble and miss something ad find it rust out in years to come
  7. I have hit a low spot today. I just keep finding rust. I know I wanted a challenge but man ahhhhhh. I have been doing the floor pans as the pictures show and I noticed some rust under the back seats. So here I go again removing all the spot welds in the back seat area, sure enough I will have to replace some floor pan under the rear seat area. I'm am back on the idea that maybe I should be on a lookout for another shell.. I know 1 year on an a shit load of work but. I may be fighting a loosing battle. :'( I don't know what to do.
  8. Not looking good for me.. I have been told the kids school fair is on that day and we are on duty all day. That sucks.. Sorry boys. I will be there in spirit. Marty O.
  9. Nice Mick. I love those high chroma colours. Great work. Cheers Matt
  10. Hey all one colour now.. nice looking forward to the top coat I bet.
  11. Luckely I really enjoy the body work. I don't know how I am going to go once it is all done and I am left with mechanical work. Thanks Guys
  12. I'm guessing that wouldn't be a good idea under POR though?
  13. Yeah I guess the stuff is as good as seam sealer!
  14. Thanks Guys. My metal forming is improving with every panel I do. I'm a bit concerned about having the new panels sitting there raw. I want to POR the floor eventually but want to wait until I have done both sides. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to spray some cheap primer over it until then. But of corse then I will have to strip them back again. Also should I put seam sealer on before POR or after "Thought anyone" Thanks Matty O
  15. I have got a bit don over the last couple of weeks. I still have a lot of floor to cut out and replace but the drivers side is not looking to bad now. I have to put the seat mounts back in but it is getting there. Here are some pics!
  16. Welcome Mate cheers Matt
  17. I have this Super Charge battery that I bought just over 12 months. I got it so I could crank my engine over once before I distorted my car. It has been sitting on a caravan battery conditioner since then. It cost me $120 but I would be happy with $60 if anyone needs a battery to get them going.. Thanks Matt
  18. Welcome mate. Need some pics
  19. Put me down as a very likely. All depends on the kids Basketball game. .. No Zed obviously. Matty O
  20. Great work I'm sure I will be calling on that at some point.
  21. Man that is beautiful. Shame to bolt them away in an engine.
