I agree some Roadworthy can be slightly power trip filled when dealing with younger people. Ilike to consider my self very considerate and sensible, and present the car immuculate when doing going to get a RWC togive it the best chance. However, got failed due to a oil pan sump leak, (due to the washer had a small crack from being over tightened) was not really a leak but really a moisture collection. when getting told about it i thought the guy was kindly letting me know. as it was the only negitive point. to fix on nextoil change. But No, he gave it a fail. I know it is an easy fix, but was highly expensive, new oil plus another $80 to backpocket of inspector to get it go over again. I feeln this is very power tripy at best, at worst a scam to get more money. However What disapoints me more is people like 53-681 that makes inspectors gain an attitude like this, trying to take short cuts, and try to "beat the system" and give a bad name to those that have passion in what we drive and maintain. Your language and attitute that you bring to a forum and tendency to shoot of your mouth inappropriatly only gives a clue to how the non car part of your RWC inspection went. Hey guys, Quite a Few members May Already Know / figured out the Results of this Question But for those that do not will make it Official. In November i flew over to VIC ( got very sore arms) and Purchased "REV ZED" off forum member Dave, then Drove it back to Adelaide via Old Coast HWY, Then we took our first Train Trip Together, to arrive back in PERTH The car has handled perectly on the drive Home, Put around 1300kms on the Clock over four days Driving from melbourne to Adeliade Via Coastal Hwy, But it was Something i had dreamed about doing and What a car to do it in! It has taken a While to re-register over here in W.A. , The system is good enough, Just wanted to put some personal touches on it, and finish off a few jobs before doing so as I am in no rush as it is not going to be a daily driver more of Enjoyment Sunday Best Deal. Since Purchase Have Completed - Complete Roof Re-uplostry ( c/- batavia coast motor trimmers) - Complete rear boot/hatch area and front kick panels re-uplostered - Have re-built all the locks from local locksimth as boot got jammed and this was a good solution while doing one, mights as well do all - new 195 tyres for the rear - new alt / reg - Finished Installing last few door rubbers. - Did Not want any speakers installed into the car, as the upolstry work to good. So have custom built a 1200w Sub/ amp/speaker box. This has been suprizingly effective, and is easily removable from the vehicle, I thought the sound would be compromized, but is very good. - Working on a better/neater solution for the sub thou, and will post updates in here, as will be trying for some-thing unique. My objective is to make something that is a) Very easily and quickly removeable from the car b) Looks super professional (keeping in with the classic look/lines of the car) c) will house an arrangment of speakers/ amp d) Doees not in any way affective the original look of the vehicle when the item is removed. I hope it turns out as good as i have imagined it to, however will take 6 months or so to complete i would imagine.

Just a final wrap up on the Topic 1. Installed new alternator, which fixed problem with radio, however the battery not getting charged 2. Installed new regulator, this then allowed the battery to be charged, but way to high. 3. manually adjusted the regulator and all is working micky mouse. 4. Still looking at ebay for a decent sized flux capicator, bit bummed my car not come with one!

Sorry Not Zed Related But putting a call out Need to know if anybody knows of a datsun sunny lying about anywhere or going cheap. Will be reshelled and used as a speedway track car. Thus condition of running gear is not important. The body needs to be somewhat of a safe condition. speedway is a bit different in geraldton to over east, we race on dirt track here in one nice big oval.

No probs with asking in here, actually it is quite helpful as others may be able to assit in other area's. In regards to the electronic Dizzy, from what i have read it is one of the best things you can do, however i have limited personal knowledge on the fact as the REV had already installed one in REVZED for me. It is not Something i have seen as an aftermarket part, will have a little look but doubt i will have luck on this one.

Hey Guys, Been in the Parts Department & managing for Over 5 Years now, And i am sure we all have experienced the blank looks and unconfident replies to a question when dealing with any parts department, Believe me, I feel your frustration, all to often new faces pop as the retail industry seems to fly through people, with different levels of experience and enthusasism especially with this mining boom offering big wages. What I would like to offfer to the forum, ( and i do check on here often in work time), Is if you have a part number and want to check out the price, or doubt the availability status been given drop me a question in the thread and i will answer it best i can. Like I said, After working with our systems for last 5 years, and a enthusasism for zeds, I can often use my experience to get a result where a person not so interested may miss. In whole, I am not saying that i can give you a discount, Just if you want a reliable price, or knowledge if we can get you a part number, give me a try, certainly i not perfect, but at least you will know someone that cares is giving it a shot and will tell you straight up, either i can not find it, or make sure you are getting the best info you can Figured it worth at least offering.
