  1. now up to $2,200 ... I agree good first Zed, lets hope it likes it over in W.A
  2. @ RBZ 260 - thanks mate Thanks for the effort you put into your answer deffo some points I taken @ PZG302 - so what your saying is that is super important i should find is rust:) that's if i cant find any rust i telling the seller to go jump. @ Zedman240 - freakin hardest thing is find the compromise of taking a few more months to generate more savings over the desire to own one yesterday! @ stevo_gj , I agree with rbz 260 "what you been choofing" ------- everybody knows 40" neon's is the number one thing ..... Nah thanks for the reality check, my original post did make me sound like a 18yr old duff duff boy... In reality I am 33yr old golden oldie as pointed out my latest niece. I really just want something with that bit more power than standard, i not into the whole donughts and dirt track scene. personally i find Sulio's 260z the kinda general look i am after. Classy & Sexy but still looks tough enough to be personally owned by chuck norris. @ Lurch you mean rust is a problem? the way everybody has been talking about taking it out of there cars i thought they must have been bagging it up and selling it for a mint. @ GV260 - Think you almost have me thinking about two zeds now, one too have already done up to drive for the pure pleasure and another to start so i can admire it in 50 years. @ gav240z thanks for the info, been trying to get down to one of the perth events to meet a few of you guys. However the timing has been bad both for time off and myself in finishing my white 280z and i fear my black 280z might be shunned somewhat as the thing has so much rust it is likely to jump and affect every other car at the event! IN short thanks for the feedback Gys some really good points. And will certainly post on the DB with photo's when the list is shortlisted for feedback and advise. Althou A flight over east is not out of the equation to come have a look especially with some of the members cars journals i been reading in here.
  3. Hey guys. Looking to obtain a 240z, after owning a couple of 280z, have come to realizing it is like being a moped rider, ( while it may be fun to do, nobody respects you ) (Plus it is near on impossible to join a classic Nissan car club) So have decided to offload my 280zx's and purchase a 240z. My request from the more experienced members is.. what is the top 10 ( 240z specific) things you would first check out when making a purchase... ? Any tips i should specifically look for? P.s Unfortunately I will not be looking for 100% unmodified one, i like the look of the more sporty look, with flares, modern mags and like the idea of an improved engine with a Rb26 series engine Hoping that i can get some good tips Thanks kobes
  4. not sure if you still selling, but if the car is in good nick and in licence, i would be interested when i get over there having a look
  5. haha Still tryin to work out the personality of all the characters on here, Only be on for one week (ish) now, and really should not be looking into getting another Zed anyway, paying two registrations at the moment is getting hard enough to explain! Althou Fantastic site, Can't believe what a great job, and no doubt hours of work people have put in for it be here. Absolutly loving finding information i did not even realize i needed to know On that note I am off to make a little donation... all thou i don't think it should really be called a donation as i have already got way more that $10bucks worth of value this week.
  6. Just a heads Up SuperCheap is going out of Septone Paint products and Into 3M. This has meant ( IN W.A at Least ) they have marked down to half price any dented marked cans of paint etc etc But the real winner is that due to the cost involved in transporting paint stripper back to the supplier they have marked down to 50% off the paint stripper here as Well instead of sending in back. This means a rough price of $30 bucks for a 4lt tin. And i have found this product to work quite well.
  7. Fantastic news it is heading to W.A Would love to have a heads up if you ever find the need to sell it on, and if you ever head up (or past) geraldton for a cruise woud love to have a sneak peak. ( could even arrange a few beers and a crayfish or two ) . You can contact me thou this site if need, or most days i am working at local auto retail shop down here so not to hard to find and congrats on the purchase
  8. Crap hope they change there minds and put it back up for sale !
  9. Saw on the members homepage a picture of this beautiful beast pop up... Think i could be in lust. Is there some more photo's or updated information on this car?
  10. thanks guys for the info Yeah, it is deffo an original feature of the car, ( took me an embarissing long time to fugure out how it worked so evantually had to look in the instruction manual and i tell you took me a while to chase down a copy of factory copy of this!) Stil not sure if the fairlady badges are going to survive the re-spray thou. althou all my mates are already calling it the lady car, so might be to late. Anywaz thanks for the feedback
  11. Hey Guys I have a 280z that is badged a fairlady, so guessing it is a jap import one as opposed to an american built cousin. However on searching around a few car yards and some online investigation it seems that not two many come out with the option of factory cruise control ( like mine has and still works! ) Can anybody with a bit of history shed some light onto this for me ?
  12. Just thought i would pop in and say welcome, being a new member myself just reading through all the topics myself, and loving it, What was only going to be a few minutes has turned into the best part of the day Myself i am from gero, but plan to try and make myself welcome at the most club events i can in perth, even if my stock standard 280z may get a image problem parked next to some of the beasts i am seeing in the galley section.
