Not Sure how other people would read it what you guys think of the following combo's LIL.ZED LIL.260Z I have personal reasons for the plates just wanna make sure they not have any other wierd readings or mis-intrupations. pesonally what would you guys think LiL-Zed meant is what i trying to get across

Possibly I am missing a step in the logic, but i presume there is a filter somewhere in the air intake? or a pod filter at the end of the air intake? otherwise i would presume containment's could still be introduced into the box? Do not suppose you know what setup was being run on the other end of the air pickup?

Steve, obviously galderdi, had been hanging aorund those mexicans way too long, "la cook a racha" is so not in at moment, and he obviously missed the "dukes of hazard" air horn set-up... But Seriously... If you go the way of the trumpets, let me know if you find a better solution for the displaying of these, as opposed to ending up hiding them under a K&N style sock filter, I love the look of them, however not to sure i would be keen to run them filterless, or just with mesh, as i hope to have a long term relationship with my engine.

you would be pulling around 36 amps if you had 8 of the fog lights according to the maths. The question is how big is your alternaternator? How effective is it ( ie are the brushes in good condition and all making contact) You could always do the back of the enevolpe testing and use a multimeter to see how the current holding in the battery goes as you add more fog lights ( two at a time) just remember to have the car going when you test it, with as many accesories on as you can ( ie radio, air con, any 12v acc..) as you not want to be tacking a negitive charge out of battery as you driving and end up with a flat somewhere bewteen bangkong and ratchiburi. Or more importantly, what is wrong with your lights at moment? is it wiring, globes or lens? If it is costs that is holding you back, I have a friend that travels to thailand semi frequently for family reasons, and have the abilty to obtain common parts at a somewhat reasonable price. So if you can identify what your current problem is maybe a more traditional fix may be better, unless you want to go for the thailand bling of more is better kobes

cable speedo. do not think much is wrong with the one currently in thou, I imagine it could be something simple as it has just gone bung! not had the time to look yet! but there are quite commmon spare part that also seems to being offered in the foroms quite frequently. You are a brave, brave man if you intend to try and fix the body work. but the exhaust is a must do if you want to keep a low radar.

Charles, a good suprise to see you found your way to the forum, Lots of useful information to be obtained if you go the way of trying to get things done on the old girl. Honestly you will get a crap load more HP out of the engine with a tune, plugs and oil change and no doubt a clean airfilter. As it was my spare parts bin, not much love has been giving in maintance, and while agree it pulls strong and is bullet proof, it would be very simple to improve. or you could also go down the path of parting out the leftovers if it going to perth as you planned, Down there i would be suprized if people would not be interested in some parts ( ie wheels, glass and running gear) i thought of doing it, but from geraldton your captive audience is diminished. kobes

With the weeks getting closer, I hope a few W.A members are getting thier rides ready. Luckily it looks like i might have sold my spare 280 zed, So it looks like i am back down to one deffo for me! Will be commin up next weekend, but will be on the pedal power, doing a fun raising event cycling around the swan river a couple times. ( which should be heaps of fun in itself) So if any zed enthusist are also cyclist, come down and come for cycle. Believe the Web site is something like "santos great bike ride"

if my 280z sells, even thou it was not directly from this site, will chip in 5% of the sale price when it goes and i can write sold after the listing.

without shelling out somewhere close the$130 for a pair of these weatherstips from the usa, I seem to be having a problem locating them. It is for my passanger side and is the OUTER DOOR MOULDINGS SQUEEGEES that goes on the chrome strip and rests against the window on the outside. Any further help, ( or if anybody has a spare shell that may still have one attached, assitance greatly appreciated )

Looks like the car may be sold... Have person comming over on Sunday to pick it up. Ended up just telling the guy he could have it $500, which is not too bad for a licenced and running zed, He had the excited and enthused look in his face, and if i go by the amount of times he has called to make sure i hold it until sunday should be a confident indicator. By the sounds of it, it is going to end up in Perth, with a V8 and a manual conversation so could be the possibily of a l20 engine and auto box floating around sometime soon in perth if he not have another use for them.

Lent the car to a fellow forum member on the weekend, He has better photo taking skills than myslef, so stealing one of his photo's to add to the site.

The yellow 280z is getting a decent run this weekend fellow forum member C210_Skyline is in town and some-what car-less so have offered to lend him the car to hoon around in on the weekend. Unfortunatly this is his first experience in a ZED, an unfortunatly I am unsure if many people would want there first experience to be in something that has had a hard life as this poor Girl, But to give him total credit, he seemed to have a optomstic look and enthusaism to get behind the wheel and have an opportunity to have some wheels. Good News - all lights tested and work along with indicators, horn and power windows - as expected, even thou car been idle for two week while i been over east for two weeks she fired and idled first pop of the key. Bad News - Looks like the speedo Died... I have some hopes for a recovery thou, but a few light taps not seem to fix it and it seems to only go has high as 20km p/h - While i have been blaming the extra noisy muffler on my Mum, for hitting the speed hump hard, on closer inspection, I may have to blame my brother in law, it seem the holes seem quite uniform and close together, and somewhat drill bit like size... it may be a little bit of practicale joke revenge.

Due to my TOTAL OBLIVIOUS attention to the fact that the 280zx was brought out with a 2lt engine from the Japs, On closer inspection it has been brought to my awarness that this car is a Jap import and has only a L20 Engine! You Would think a person might have noticed a little thing like this over the last 18 months of driving it! like seriously whats up with that a 2lt 280z I almost embarrised, time to go off and buy a proper zed

Looking For outer door trim rubber squeegees attaches to your existing stainless trim ( passanger side) off a 260z . Not sure what it's official name is, all i know is the are aero-dynamically awesome when travelling at 110kms and when it comes flying off as you go over a bridge. I can confirm 1. they do not float. 2. They get awesome distance in the air ( and luckily away from the bodywork of car) 3. Swear words directed at the general direction they last seen flying seems to have little effectivness in finding it! So if you have a spare in good or better condition, it would be appreciated. Tim, as per standard i am a little behind the times, and just noticed your thread. As being a member and also from geraldton, it is a pity we not catch up for a beer. However if you ever plan on heading back this way drop us a line.

Will be finally able to make one of the cruises. All going well, i should be able to bring one of the cars. Might even make a quick stop in on burswood on saturday night to try and see if i can have a win so i can fill up the tank.
