Hey guys was getting some work done on lil zed and the auto elecy mention the fan clutch wax almost gone and and heaps of play and doubted was doing much So I rung up cooldrive and they have a part listed for a 240z and a 280z can anyone fill me in how to get a 260 one? Thanks Kobes

Hi guys have a 280 and as far as I can narrow down my idler arm pulley is getting almost shot. It squeaks pretty bad bad stops with some lubrication for a bit. Guess I need a whole new setup any around Oh yeah I am in rural Wa

yeah have to agree, I used to think iphone users where i breed of idiot upon themselves. However, after inheriting one, i have become so acustome to some of the apps i hardly go on my main pc anymore. To be honest i only really used my main pc to troll this DB and use ebay to purchase parts for my zeds anyway... oh and there was one more that escapes me now

What do you want the App to do? I don't think that would be a long way away simply because I really need to migrate the site into 1 DB first. Probably more likely an Android App than Apple but neither is likely right now. Unless there is really strong demand for something or a particular feature? Gav quite a few discussion boards I use now have an app it makes it easier to read the discussion board on the iPhone and keep updated ie if some replies to topic it goes straight to phone etc etc

Also any chance of iPhone app for this site?

100% the same unit i purchased. Been usuing for over a year now with no problems! Awesome unit.

An alternative idea to the I?R "hidden" stereo, might be to try and pick up a cheap one that works on bluetooth rather than IR.. I did this and the remote work on bluetooth, so no need to mount the IR in dash as the signal goes a few meters through just about most things in a car! the other benifit is if you have an ipod / iphone you can transmit you music all while the radio itself is totally hidden... If you come up with a good way to hise the speakers let me know. At the the moment due to my loath to install them in the door or sidewalls anywhere, i have just made up a loose carpeted box, and only connect them when i want, and normally place them in the back somewhere. But still recovering from foot operation, and highly unlikely that i will be recovered in time to drive the vehicle! yes mate, I did have all your details however i got rid of them when i thought the transaction was finished. Hopefully my good faith in contacting you the first time i saw your post ( thus being able to establish this show something ), well at least i was trying to the dirty by you or be in hiding! Yes, I should have had the papers that morning, But Until feb22nd I was still managing a Supercheap store, working 50 plus hours, open to close 5 days a week. I told you i would have them at work, and except for that day we exhanged cars i do not believe i have seen you since. and supercheap has to be almost on a direct route from geraldton to your house! and you did not call around to pick them up! I was at fault for not having them there for you that morning, and i apologize. I have communicated by email, and will as soon as i get back into town get a person to drop the parts off to your house so have the enine bracket and spare tyre.

Ok Guys here is the problem, that i guess is complex, but will say it as simple as i can from my Point of view. 1. Sold car on Ebay, 280z, for close to $500, sold in bad condition http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,7888.msg75187.html#msg75187 2. guy that buys it, pays fantastic, quick, and we oraganize for him to pick it, I am not at my house and had a couple of frothys, so i do not have transfer paper or spare wheel etc but tell him i will bring it round to my work tomorrow where he can pick it them up but he is welcome to take the car. We have a short discussion about the car, i even mention how great this forum is , when i mention that the rego will need re-doing shortly, he memtions he is considering not re-regersting it as he is thinking of doing it up for his daugter. 3. My Bad, I stuff up and next morning forget to bring the bits into work, so yes, i let him down by not havin them. From the next day I made sure i Had them there! 4. For the next few week i not see him come into work, i presume he has decided to do it up and the parts are not important. so with a bit on in my life i forget about it. 5. I then get a $100 fine in post for not handing the plates in, as the car has run out of rego, i swear a bit, i rant a bit, in the end i go down the licencing depart and pay the fine and sign a stat dec to say i not have have the plates anymore. 6. I am they Guy that you purchased the car off. 1. yes i did say i pass on to you the spare wheel, the bonnet latch and the rego papers. and i did say i would bring them into work the next day! 2. My bad the next day i did forget to bring them into work, but from that day onwards I did have them at work for you to pickup Since you did not pick them at from me at work, i figured you did not want them. You Did Mention when purchasing the car that you where going to de-register it anyway and do it up for your daughter so i figured that is what you where going to do! 3. I am not a hard person to find, really as easy as going to the house that you picked it up from. SINCE YOU HAVE NOT PICKED UP THE PAPERS FROM ME - I recieved a $100 Fine for not handing in the plates, and not having any details for you i could not arrange to get the plates to hand them. So i went down and paid the fine and filled in a stat dec. I am more than happy to get the spare wheel to you and the bonnet latch. Just reply to me on here BTW, i have never moved town, I did go to perth for a majour surgery and thus had to leave work. Will be able to drop these off to you in around 4-5 weeks when back in geraldton from hospital.

Wow guys sounds awesome, I am in even if i have to take the trip back to victoria and then train it back to W.A. Just a few points, speaking from the experience of working for 2 years as a full time tour guide of Uluru ( of course it is not called Ayres Rock anymore nor would it be respectful to call it this) There is limited accomadation at ULURU, which is why most people base out of Alice, Of course there is the caravan park and camp sites that could easily handle our numbers and would be glad to do so 60kms from Uluru. But do not be fooled into thinking there is a plethera of choices. As a point of interest some may know the original australian "cannaball event" did go along the stuart higway to Uluru, there is even still a remebernce memorial bulit where there was an infamous and fatal accident that call all be read at 'JIMS PLACE' near rainbow valley which will be passed on the way. To cut a long story short, obviously i have quite a few contacts in the area (uluru and Alice) and a evident passion for this site and as the date becomes closer would be happy to use these contacts to help out where i can. This can be in a few different area's but I am confident i could get us a private and quite unique spot at uluru for sunset and possibly for those that stay at the caravan park slumming it in the tents ands swags possibly organize one of the more respected members of the community to come and possibly give us a bit of a personal persrpective of what we are experiencing at such a magnificant spot. ** edit out of interest love it could be 2014, i work out this gives me approx 140 odd weeks to save easily , might even pop down tomorrow and make an offset type account and pop $20 per week in should have $2'800 by the time it comes around which should easily cover most predicatable expences and make it much easier pass by the minister of finance, and what a great trip it should be.

Hey guys, not find much, really anything on this part number, but after two years up on blocks, not getting much done have put the old girl back (280z) on four wheels . After all the usual flushes and maintaince all works excellent except the alternator give no charge to the battery ( new battery). Going to tackle it tomorrow, take it off and see if it is just the brushes, any other tips would be great if you are farmilar with the unit! thanks

Ok, Been a bit Quite but still getting a bit done here and there on Whitte advice took the car to RPW in osborne park, Perth. And I have to say they are the most accomadating mechanics i have been to and have all the nice toys to get things done right. Will try and post the dyno results, While the car was very very good as was, I wanted to use the best while they are available will post the dyno results as soon as i can scan them in. Lets say i am smiling.
