  4. I say fang around in your awesome bus for a year spending very little on it ( of course a minimal outlay for sub, speakers and some neon's) If you put 100 a week into bank this time next year you will have 5'200. Then you will have had an awesome time cruising while gaining alot towards your goal. if you then sell your bus next year you will be able to get most of what ya want (the bloody tricky bit, is normally, yes even bus drivers, manage to pull a chicky babe, and gets somewhat difficult explaining to them why you are saving so hard to buy something you already got except it got to seat less?)
  5. I am going to put it out on a couple other zed affiliated sites to see if I can gain some interest
  6. Guessing classic cars and football might not be as common as I thought
  7. Looks like we have 4 members sign a team Up so far... Maybe the Victorians don't realize they can use west Aussie players if they want some Good players on their team? I can figure out who some members are by their team name but if you not want to keep it confidential let us know who you are Btw my team name is FFC4FINAL4
  8. Hey all, not sure if any of you guys are footy Nuts (AFL footy) ...... ( or even if they have television in tasmania yet to show this game that is played in australia).... But i have played a game called " DREAM TEAM" bit like a game within a game where yo u pretend you are a team owner so get a salary cap and get to purchase / sell / trade players through the year and the players get awarded points for how well they do. The Owner that has most points and end of year gets a car, money and that sorta stuff... If you play this you might know you can also as part of the game join a "league" where your team plays other teams in the league each week (if you can find 18 other teams to join your league) and if you win that you win braggin rights and basically think you are awesome for a least a week .... Not sure if we can get 18 odd people interested but just in case we do have started up a League for a Zed Car People and here is the League code invite code: 861371 The link to join AFL "Dream Team" http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=afl%20dream%20team&source=web&cd=1&sqi=2&ved=0CDIQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fdreamteam.afl.com.au%2F&ei=2kZZT_S8BK6SiAedvvTLDQ&usg=AFQjCNE8iPy2F-IV0xdwpwU_TaaAa9M7yA

  13. Done...
  14. Saw in one of the other posts "can't find it now" that the Z Register club/community of Wa is having a sign up day in Perth sometime in march.. However can not see updated details on their website yet. Was kinda hoping as this site seems to get a bit of traffic some-one that is involved with the register could post upcoming events in here too. To give us country bumpkins some time to try and make it down.
  15. Almost been 18 months since I purchased revzed. And I believe this is not done enough, but took her for a spin today and the smile on my dial is as large as the day I drove her outta rev's driveway. Thankyou for all your experience and talent in Building the car I always wanted to a degree beyond my expectations.
  16. Ok, I gunna have my little speil as i found these things are better out than in so Here goes. 1. I realize i am a low effective contributer to the site in actually factual abilty in strip down repair of bodys or engines as this is not my stongest area. 2. I am not the largest or most regular donator ( or good speller) 3. But i frakin love this site, Like really i come on to check what is happening most days ( seriously i do). I love my Zed and love sharing the experience with the completly random and often blacksheepish community that is us. But Really what is going on with only 3 donations this MONTH! the target is only a couple hundred dollars per month! we have three? I know if this site died i would not be the only person thinking ....... umm i should have donated more, I miss what this site gave me the opportunity to express and share and most important for me ( LEARN)... oh yeah and meet people. Now I have no Idea of the finicial status, or are no way impying that the site is in finicial doom, however, Like seriously only three donation so far this month! talk about taking things for granted! I honestly am not targeting anybody in particalar, if people that live in glass houses should not throw stones well let me live in a glass house i have not donated for over two months. So this is just as much as dig at myself as anyone else. I guess i was just appreciating tonight how actually awesome this site has become and is to many members, for so many different reasons, and quite uniquely i imgaine would be up there exceeding the traffic of so many other hobbiest sites ( let alone a specific car) and the envy of many many more........ What we have here is truely a huge effort by those that started it and i am sure would be unimaginable if you where to plan it from the start..... I am pretty sure it would have exceeded the expectations of the orginal devolpers and equally has grown to become what would be what any enthusasist hope could be available to them....
  17. Like seriously how does one even find that out.......
  18. awesome post an intersting read. "blood heck can't believe ya typed all that on the iphone! Will love to see some pictures of both ya beasts, and the progression as you mould the car into your own. And just remember the zed is basically already the shap of a small subwoofer box and you can never have enough bass.
  19. Yeah, can understand how owning a 280z you would feel bit like an outcast in the zed world. When trying to join the Zed car club here in WA they only admit 240z / 260z, when i asked why not the 280z the answer was well you have to draw the line somewhere! Personally i think many laymen could not tell the difference bewteen the 240 260 280 zed series... it kinda pissed me of at the start how the 280z that obviously belonged to the family so could be considered such at outcast that it would not even be considered to become a member in a zed car club. Having said that have felt the opposite with other zed "no official" zed clubs... the 300zx club in western australia makes you feel at home as long as there is a Zed somewhere on the car or in ya garage... It still amazes me that alot of people try and dis-associate the 280z from the zed family.
  20. saw this little beauty in the local paper..... sure looks familar
  21. Your living my dream
  22. This one I guess keeps people divided. On some forums I have been on ( for example the 300 zx one ) you can not post in the for sale section until (x) amount of posts made. Personally I think this is awesome function and keeps out spammers to a degree as well. I know as much about computer Programing as I do webber carbs, so unsure how hard is to set up but I think if all donating members for the month got to see all things posted for sale for 24hrs before rest of the members / visitors. But hey they say I am a dreamer
  23. Wish you where in W.A. This is the cheapest 240z that is running that i have seen.
  24. I think displaying ONO, is a cop out, pretty much any price you put on a car is ono. It is rare for a person to pay the asking price straight up for a vehicle. It happens, for sure but not to often. It seems you to me you have put an inflated price, and then will justify this by thinking people can offer you a lower price. Personally i think you're price is to high alot of people semi interested will not even put in an offer as the offer may be offending. Thats just me maybe but i feel slightly uncomfortable if i feel i have to try and beat the guy down by 20% before i even start to get into a range that i might consider it depending on roadworthy and closer inspection of running gear.
