  1. Are you talking about the orignal story is about a Lambo or are you talking about the video. Cause that is definately a veyron in the video.
  2. Thanks for the extra info Pauly.
  3. Well its not fair that I'll have to ship my zed down to Vic.
  4. Oh!!! You've got it baaaadddd!!!!! Haha. Zed fever.
  5. How 'cheap' you are relates directly to the quality of work you do. From the great reveiws from other people, it seems you are almost paying them. lol
  6. Yeah I've seen that on ebay for ages. He just keeps relisting. Its a fair bit of coin for a car that isn't complete. Here are a couple of 280zx's for those that are interested. Both are in QLD. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Nissan-Datsun-280zx-EFI-Rebuilt-Motor-spent_W0QQitemZ160377219867QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Cars?hash=item25573a2b1b http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Datsun-Nissan-280zx-Good-Condtion-Great-Car-Low-Kms_W0QQitemZ320450233952QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Cars?hash=item4a9c528660

    WTB: 280 gearbox

Sorry. I don't have a spare one of those just yet.
  8. I'll have a look. I have the interiors out of 2 auto's. One was blue and the other red. I think I still have that part. It'll only cost you postage or if you can wait for a week I think I'll be heading down to Sydvegas.
  9. I agree with spending your hard earned on something that will give you better results but I understand that you have a picture in your mind of how you would like it to look. It may not be to others taste which is why it is a good discussion point. It has brought out a few different avenues of thought. You could always do something like this!!!!!!
  10. Yeah I agree. Thats why you really need to go to an aftermarket ECU to get any decent results as there is only so much you can tell this ECU. Like I said this was more an exercise in history. I was just interested in some of the cool tricks that people have done in the past. Sometimes it pops up some cool results that have been forgotten in the past that can still be applied today. This obviously applies to much more than just the ECU.

    Auto or manual?
  12. I wonder if this is why the V8 supercars used to run a tripple exhaust. Not sure if they still do though.
  13. Thats pretty cool. I never would have thought of something like that.
  14. I found a zed by accident. It didn't take long to find a zedoholics group. But unlike AA we get together to help people get deeper into the obsession.
  15. Like everyone here, I'm looking forward to seeing the outcome of this. I hope it all goes smoothly for you. The ford engines are easy to work with. I've seen them used in a heap of different cars with great results. Well done for doing a swap that isn't the norm.
  16. Thanks zedman, this is the sort of thing that I'm looking for. I know there are better ways and more up to date hardware to get better tuning but I'm interested in the history of the way people have modded these cars in the past. Not that I'm looking to do these mods. Like I said. I'm chasing the history.
  17. Hey guys. I've seen a few guys say that there are tricks to get more out of the factory ECU. I'm just curious to find out some of the things that you can do with them. I understand that the easiest but not always the cheapest thing to do would be to get an aftermarket ECU. I can't remember where it was written but I think someone wrote in a post that you can get the injectors to double pulse. Like I said I'd like to find out a bit more on how the ECU can be tweeked. Cheers
  18. We could get a heap of us to call up the importers asking for the same thing and when they think there is a big demand for them they'll bring a heap in and not be able to sell them so the prices will be really cheep. Just a thought.
  19. Take off the rear wing, bug catcher and guages and it would look heaps nicer. I really doubt its the best in oz but you can see the work that has gone into it and if someone wants to pay him 55k then good luck to him.
  20. Damn. Back to cool car school.
  21. Man. One of those KTMs would be so much fun to drive.

    About Otomoto

Nice. I'll come for a visit to chat about my 280zx on my next break. Won't warrant a pic on here like your last visitor though.
  23. Here is a link for anyone that might be interested in the RB34 stroker kit that spool are putting together. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Crank-Strength-Upgrading-t212607.html&st=180
  24. Hey loui, Looking great mate. I have the 280zx struts, hubs and brakes sitting here when ever you need them. I'm happy to store them at my place. Actually they are still on the shell. haha. I'll need a bit of time to strip them for you. Depends on if I'm up here in QLD at work or at home on break. I do have a set that is striped already but not in the best condition. Let me know what you want to do.
  25. I'm sure people have seen this floating around on the forums before. This version was made by one of the guys on the Sydney Z car club forum. I'm not sure who exactly otherwise I'd credit them directly. Either way it is a good little program that makes things very easy to calculate for different set ups. http://www.zshop.net.au/Photos/Parts/specials.htm
