Yeah, primer is colour spec from Sca and black was white night matt black from bunnings. These probably sound like cheap paints but I am really impressed with quality and durability. I painted the engine bay with a 4 can set from colour spec... Paint has set like rock and super scratch resistant. On sale it about $100 for the 4 cans, etch, prime, colour and clear.
  2. They can do that but if you grab 1 output shaft while turning input the fixed shaft will stay stationary while the free one rotate... You ll need three hands! Unless it has been welded!
  3. I had a good experience and thought the bits although very small were reasonably priced
  4. just explain it to Nissan spare parts they can look it up for you . the other gasket to the timing case is about $1.20 from Nissan
  5. have you tried Nissan Australia? , quite often items like these are still available and cost only a few dollars

  12. Last year i spent many months ripping out the original engine, repainting the engine bay and installing a bigger engine but whist doing this tried to keep a traditional theme . Aim was to keep non standard components looking period and as factory looking as possible . I am now also rebuilding the L24 back to its original configuration ( had triple carbs some non OEM parts etc...) so if i choose can drop the L24 back in an pretty much look totally standard. During the build last year i decided i had the wrong coil bracket so sourced one from a 1980s Patrol. Last week on ebay i saw a 240z coil bracket, didn't research it very well and bought it, thinking my other bracket is wrong . Now i am confused , many zed have both types of brackets and my new one is for a larger diameter coil... Can any one shed some light on which were fitted to what? i have a 1973 zed.. also would a Nikki fuel pump be original brand for a 1973 model? there seems to be Atsugi, Kanto Seiki , Ampco and Nikki......
  13. got a Stanley if anyone wants too, funnily i think it is made by IKI...
  14. Yep I had 1 koito and 1 IKI, now 2 koito!
  15. Not sure if these are worth any thing.. The IKI brand I imagine would have been OEM at some point. I have just changed to old Koito which I believe was probably correct fitment when leaving the factory. Any ways you may have an odd pair of headlights and this might suit you.. $20 posted Happy to give 6 months warranty. The likelihood of you actually using your headlights is probably slim.. Me and my zed are scared of the dark..
  16. 67mm at best, holds a coke can perfectly
  17. Very ingenious ! I will measure tonight and get back to you
  18. Here we have a centre console arm rest. See the link below for the same product. It just drops straight on and holds tight. No work needed here. It does however flip sideways and it is designed for the LHD market so you'd probably want to swap the hinges to the opposite side It is also DOHC! Double Over Head Cupholders! As for VVTi.. I can't confirm officially.. https://zcardepot.com/console-cup-holder.html Free postage Australia wide $75
  19. Sick of your useless Zed wiper motor?! Here is a pretty serious upgrade from a Honda Civic! If you are reading this you are likely well aware of swapping the original Zed wiper motor for a 1990s era Honda Civic wiper motor . If not check this link out for the details: http://www.viczcar.c...or-replacement/ The wiper motor needs 3 new holes drilled , your bracket notched out slightly and a changeover relay wired in to ensure the wipers return to there home position. The spline on the honda motor is exactly the same as the zed one I disassemble, clean , check brushes and armature etc , reassemble and test before sending to the buyer. The wiper motor also comes with the factory socket fitted and the wiring harness that plugs in to it . I have also included the needed changeover relay, a new 6 pins plug to attached to the Honda harness and socket to replace the worn brittle one under the bonnet. you will however have to complete the wiring modifications yourself with the instructions found online. Any questions let me know, $85 Free postage Australia wide.
  20. Bump, back in stock if anyone interested... Thanks
