  1. PM sent re Halda
  2. I'll be more than happy to have it mate
  3. You must be stoked Adam! I'd love to see a vid of the the car/engine and the first start up!
  4. I was just thinking it'd be extra insurance?
  5. Yeah I did see that mate and Im going to get a stainless steel bottom rad hose. Similar to what the hot rods run
  6. Great work Paulo! Was $62 got for $21 with postage, great saving
  7. Well done guys, just made a donation to keep these sort of events (BBQ, burger cruise) and info going
  8. $680 I imagine they are becoming very hard to find and although the woodgrain rim is nice the 'compe' wheel is much better. I noticed your calender clock dial is a slightly different color to the standard gauges, do you or anyone know the reason for this? Mine is also the same and I have often wondered why.... I'm looking foward to detailed pics and a vid of this exhaust system, I'm sure like the rest of the car they'll be a piece of art
  9. Compe wheel and calender clock, good choice. It's Awesome mate, this is an immaculate zed! A dream car Any progress with the headers?
  10. Sorry guys, had a previous commitment. Hey Luch, if Scoota brought the splash shield could you grab it for me and I'll pick it up when I bring the ricey up next
  11. I'm trying to decide which spoiler to go with and I can't make up my mind. The current large fibreglass one is nice but I have a rare JDM spoiler which is a little unique, each week I seem to change my mind and would like some opinions. It's the same style as on 'boomers' 240z in the introdution section. Do you guys think it'll make any change to the hadling/downforce on track?
  12. Nope I can't make the engine day
  13. I'm still running the BB and spring in my new motor, what work needs to be done for the welsh plug? My bottom end is already assembled and a grub screw would mean stripping down and starting all over again :'(
  14. If I was getting wheels again I'd definately go Watanabe's, you can't beat them but they are quite exy. It's all coming together very nicely mate, keep up the good work! K-mac do strut tops for Zeds with camber and castor adjustment, I looked at them a while ago and they were around $470 a pair i believe.
  15. For $170 I don't think I'll do it, but I'll have ashop around and see what I can find. Thanks guys
  16. Well that was total dribble, obviously it was past your bedtime
  17. Ah excellent! Do you have a part number and where did you get it from? Cheers, gareth.
  18. I could be wrong but thought the only mods required are shaving the impeller housing by 6-12mm and possibly also triming the pump blades to fit in the timing cover? They also mention alterations for an l20b timing cover but that is used on an LD28 block to match the taller block height. From what I understand the added pressure, flow, turbulence will aid heat transfer and help prevent formation of steam pocket in the cylinder head.. Is that right?
  19. Hey guys just wondering if anyone has fitted an LD28 water pump to their Petrol Lseries motor. I've been doing some reading on HybridZ and they are supposed to have better flow rate than the standard pump. Anyone know more about these and if they are still available? I'm thinking of fitting one to the ricey's new motor...
  20. Yeah, you can undo the screws and remove the cover, this will give you access to the piston, it's probably a combo of carbon and dust/dirt making them sticky. I know mine were very dirty when I stripped them down. When you have the cover off you'll be able to see the needle better and check it's straight, just dont knock the needle and it'll be fine. There'll be no changes to the settings. Also you can use ATF as oil in the dash pots
  21. EFI Hardware have a pretty good range of linkages, they're out ringwood way.

    head pics

It's a shame I'm going to hide this beautiful piece in the engine, but if I have to do it I will Would you use new Nissan turbo head bolts or ARP head studs Peter?
  23. Try cleaning the pistons in kero with very light grade wet and dry, then rinse in methylated spirits. Is the needle straight as they are easily bent, also check the plunger rod for straightness( it's the removable dipstick on the top of the dash pot/piston cover). Are the covers round without dings or damage and Is the oil level ok in the dash pot and the spring ok?
  24. Thats fantastic Dave. What sort price do the motor/box's go for, I would imagine that they don't come up for sale too often?
  25. Woohoo! Now for some circle work please
