The EFI relay will only click once when you turn the ignition on. If you are getting fuel pressure I don't think the relay is your issue.
Try attaching two wires to a 9v battery then disconnect the plugs from each injector one at a time. Place the wires from the 9v on the terminals of each injector in turn. If the injector clicks when the wires touch it is at least trying to work. If they don't click they are stuffed.
The outer part is stainless but there is an inner bracket holding the outer together. The bracket is just steel but the good news is it is just a right angle so making a replacement should be straight forward.
I suggest buying a compression tester and using it on your current engine, then post the figures here and someone will be able to indicate whether your engine compression is suitable for more boost. If it is a truely stock L28 straight from a 280zx then it possibly has dished pistons and low compresssion. But most previous owners swap out the dished pistons and replace them with flat tops so there are no garuntees.
Obviously we can't predict the reliability of the rest of the engine as that depends on numerous components and previous mods.
Another thing to consider is the need for another ECU and associated sensors etc as the standard ECU will not cope. Do you already have an after market ECU?
The fact that it is turbo doesn't really increase the price much. The engine is probably worth $500, plus the price of the turbo, manifolds, and ECU. Unless they can proove it is all in A1 condition I'd say $1000-$1500
to anyone who recently damaged their car, this story should make you feel a little better:

The plugs don't match at all. The dash only has one side of each plug (female I think). So you would either need to source the other sides of the plugs (maybe from the USA). Or you could remove the existing plugs and solder on something more familiar (eg a standard off the shelf plug or a standard 280zx plug)
I wonder whether these digital dashes were a fore runner to the "Star wars" dashes as seen in the Z31? If so maybe they share some wiring / plugs?
I had bought it with the idea to make the swap but in the end I decided it wasn't worth risking a working dash.
I don't see the problem. It is an easy modification to get it to work. Just swap the piece where this connects for the equivalent S130 item.......... I think the item is called a chassis. I'll take your old one if you don't want it anymore
Many have sold their zeds in the past and almost all have regretted it. Avoid it at all costs. If you sold it and regretted it later you would be very hard pressed to find another zed in such condition.
Those aren't normal flares they are SOLAR FLARES.....He knocks out power stations, radio towers and Mobile phone towers whenever he drives by.....not because of solar radiation but because his wheels and tyres can't fit past
I am after an aftermarket hose tail type fuel rail for an L6 engine. I'd like one on the cheaper end of the scale otherwise I'll just run with the rail I have. Let me know if you have one you are willing to sell.
Thanks Greg
