  1. yeah, welcome. Any chance you have or know someone who has driven their zed on the Nürburgring? It is one of my life ambitions even if I know its unlikely I'll ever get to do it.

    L28 into 240z

cool, mine is an early 240z.

    L28 into 240z

I have done the L28 swap into a 240z with EFI. There is one more consideration. If you are installing the 280zx gear box you might need to have a drive shaft modified as you won't be able to use the 240z unit as it has a flange on both ends. You won't be able to use the 280zx unit as it will be too long.
  4. Just like all cars, Z31s are ugly if neglected. The problem is there are not too many nice examples out there. If you are lucky enough to snag one go for it. Same with the S130. I was lucky with mine....although it needs some attention
  5. all zeds have followed a similar trend. The S130 hit rock bottom about 5-10 years back and are now bouncing back. The Z31 has hit bottom now. I predict the Z31 will bounce back in about 5 years. Then it will be the Z32's turn.
  6. jeez I know shaun is cool but why do you want his pics......let just hope he keeps his clothes on for it
  7. welcome, It would be a real hardship but I'm sure a forum member would be willing to drive your car for you........just in the interest of circulating the oil of course
  8. what are you specifically looking for?
  9. I think you should have gone for a set of these.
  10. Oh, I misread the subject. But I have only known a few gals named Kay?
  11. I got my 215s for $90 had a choice of Federal or Khumo
  12. how odd. There is a distinct lack of Ks done by members of the forum yet where are all the low Ks cars???
  13. hmmmm 280zx survives a full on nuclear war......but sprinkle a little water on them and they collapse in a heap of rust
  14. Steve, I had some trouble getting 215, 65 14s for the 280zx I eventually went with Option 1 at Eagle Farm. Their prices were unbeatable. Well worth checking out.
  15. Done 150,000 in my 280zx in the 15 years since I purchased it. Every kilometer with a smile on my face

    WTD: 240Z steering shaft

Just a side note if it is useful. I fitted a 280zx steering column to my 240z. It just needed an adaptor plate so it could be bolted under the dash. Apart from that it works great.
  17. put my vote down as a 1200 coupe. That zed could be my 240z as it was registered in Sydney until 1989
  18. No no, If it were wedding cake you should drop it and run for the hills!
  19. No worries. I only have one though are they the same for left and right?
  20. Are you talking about the big spring that resists the handbrake cable? Can you provide a pic to confirm. If it is that one, I have one.
  21. whats your take on that ouch moment? He seemed to be going so much slower than previously. I don't get it. Maybe that grass was super slick.
  22. PM sent for rear setup
  23. Yeah, I agree. There are some serious brake conversions around. It really depends on Philthy's mechanical ability and budget. I went with a kit from Hoppers Stoppers. They use AU2 brakes. It was not the cheapest option but it did not require much mechanical ability so I saved on installation costs. The other advantage is availability and cost of pads. I have never run out of brakes yet....really happy with them.
  24. In reverse order of priority? oh don't forget. The trick to achieving a high performance car is purchasing an over priced minature model of the same car to stick on your shelf.
  25. Go easy on the rear springs. Zeds go so much better with a nice soft rear end.
