the should have been a bracket that rests inside the console that your screw the ashtray to using 2 small screws essentially sandwiching the console between them both.....have you lost the bracket maybe?

Alright, one of the things that have been bugging me is the thermofans and ewp controller.........the kit cost the previous owner $650 looking at reciepts yet the thing is hopeless and doesnt seem to respond at all when asked to run cooler temps. additionally as i have a alloy radiator to install i am thinking of going back to original fan and cooling.............has anyone had any good experiences with EWPs? My battery runs flat in the blink of an eye and i just think it is an added extra that is unnecessary? im just wanting to do up a parts list as to what is needed to get it back to the way it should be........already have 2 new l28 pumps......its pretty straight forward isnt it?

castlemaine rod shop dont make mounts for this? give them a try. I haven't heard of anyone having to muck with the bellhousing....i could be wrong though......

Really quick Q- were the wiper arms painted silver or is bare metal? mine are painted black so am wondering if i strip them will i have to paint silver or just give them i good clean up and they'll be right........ cheers

perfect logic but the arse dramatically fell out of Australian classics after the gfc........... i think these skyrocketed for the exact reasons you describe but have never recovered to what they were....... gt falcons particularly.....definitely as there is no international market or recognition also...... beauty of datsuns is they have only just started the value climb and with the import scene taking over the muscle car market the 'original jap muscle/hero cars' will have a fairly long and steady growth for many many years to come. And as much as i hate to admit it we largley have vin diesel, paul walker and playstation to thank for cementing our investments haha

if you have a front valance (all 3 pieces) i can do a swap for mine plus cashyour way? just needs a little filler in a crack in one of the air ducts (caused by a chain when loading onto trailer as I missed judged angles and had no spotter to let me know!) if interested I can send a few photos....
