Hi lads so have taken the zed for it first run beyond around the block to discover my left front rim red hot.......hoping it just needed a bleed have just done that to find the caliper still really gripping the rotor.... given that a piston has probably seized im gonna have to take it off and while im at it i may as well rebuild . just done a search on evil bay for a kit but nothing comes up......where would i go to get a kit? cheers!

hmmm only 40s was going by memory and thought they were 44s.and maybe naively thought if youd go to the trouble/expense of triples you'd do some head work/engine work.....makes sense now

thanks again jason.......im getting my rkrs from option one but will have a look at the geebung place for tyres also at the moment 2 sets is not viable so when i mean track i mean a few sprints nothing heavy duty just yet.

how would they go with handling hill runs and a few track days? that seems a lot of side wall.......

hmmmm........the expensive pirellis may be it then kinda pushes them into the 16" wats price that is on here for sale.......

year these pirellies are the only ones on my list haha.........I thought the R888 would be too soft and wear out too quick.......Decoy why horrible? thought they would be ok unless driving in the wet. I was still leaning to the r888 as the car will see a 150km dry hill run every few weekends so thought they may last a bit longer

i remember seeing it.......only thing i can remember the ad saying was light weight racing wheels........havnt seen wheels like it since.....so just assumed it may be it......i could be wrong with samford the sale pics of were it sitting on a road with a bush back drop:)

Hi am buying 15x8 rkrs next month however am struggling to find tyre selection......everything in r15 50 seems to top out at 205 at the tyre shops.........Was thinking of going r888s but have no experience with semis and their longevity for a mostly road going car..... any hints or advice? would go 16 heaps as there is heaps more selection but just think they look too big on the z....have big ol 17s at the moment so dont want the modern look with the next wheels....

Yep appreciate all that you have said but I would have thought a worked/mild matching l24 with miks would be the way to go if you have the original engine??? I know heaps do the l28 (me included) but its rare to still keep hold of the matching one after the swap. 2 grand difference for wats blacked out chome isnt great but all the rest are little cosmetic things that are an easy fix.....a few hundred bucks. but you are right for these prcies you wouldnt want to have to spend anymore.

I always say yes to these and then reality kicks in i wont be into the body for a while but realise parts are becoming less and less obtainable and because the paint is still reasonably good i don't know what lurks under i guess its only 800 bucks:)

Besides the cheap fender mirrors and rotas what do you think is holding it back....anyone seen it in the flesh..........matching numbers seems to have a lot of the good bits...... and hes gone into a fair bit of detailing of the underside also...... too modified? i thought a lot of guys would be drooling over this......maybe there are but their wallets just aint that big?

would this have been sold around 8/9 years ago.........out near samford? I was very keen to have a look but had a a mssive repair bill on my daily driver at the time

I originally wanted Austin hokes car but the longer I own mine I have come to appreciate a more period look.... These 2 cars are my pic and my aspirations.... Love the sound of the red car and just like his take on the purpose of it.... No bs he just loves driving it rather than giving a history lesson.

ok well thats similar to what Ive got already but a much cleaner look might just make a nice looking bracket then the bent steel chunk it currently has

can others post some pics of what they have done? this is a cable but dosent have throttle crank/pivot etc........ at the moment mine comes straight out of the firewall to two makeshift mounts on top of the rocker cover which then pulls on a lever attached to the hex throttle rod with a return spring attached to the fuel t section/tube......just looks wrong......im thinking pits have been bined by previous owner

won't it be left hand drive though? straight out of the fire wall and on the carbs?
