  1. Surprised he didn't buy the silvia from you as well/or instead?
  2. Hi Gav, the original colour was actually blue. The mirrors I believe may be from a Ford Escort? Car got sold to the first person that viewed it for the full asking price. There is a huge interest and demand for Zeds all over Australia.
  3. Hi Gav yes the hatch vents were not on #5 75. I have another 240z with the chassis number in the 300s and even that doesn't have the vents if I remember correctly.
  4. How long is a piece of string Craig? There is some on the bottom of the fender, bottom of door, where the hatch meets the tail light and where the roof is. Best to see in person and judge for yourself.
  5. Waiting for the CSP311 Silvia listing
  6. One of the guys on here is selling it. Mr Camoflage

  8. yup #575 but with an L28 pick it up tomorrow
  9. I will be there. Craig you should bring one of your Silvias so we can all see them!!
  10. Thanks Dimitri, I'll have a look at the oil pressure gauge next time I start it up, good advice, the motor has been sitting for a long time so maybe the oil pump does need to be primed again.
  11. I haven't seen Hitachis with the water still hooked up for awhile!
  12. Thanks for your reply Peter, when I ran the engine there was evidence of oil coming out so it's all good. Not actually sure if oil comes out just at cracking speed only.
  13. Same as Gordon, love my 32 GTR.
  14. Ok gents, so I am going over things to start the engine on #727 which I picked up not too long ago. Engine is an L24 with E31 head, has been sitting not running for some time. I have changed the oil and oil filter, now with the valve cover off and plugs out I am cranking the engine over, should I be seeing oil coming out of the cam oil spray bar at cranking speed or is this not sufficient to get the oil pressure to get oil flowing out of the bar? I have also taken the bar itself off to see if it was blocked but no oil comes out of the cam towers where it bolts onto either at cracking speed. Thanks Cuong
  15. I know you probably don't want to hear this but PJs car that was selling here and you were considering, I think #63 or #67? was less rusty than this. Can't wait to see how this one turns out during the build. I've picked up # 727 ( sister car to Daves - KatoKid #728 ) and slowly chipping away at stripping it at the moment. It's a factory Safari Gold car.
  16. That is officially the rustiest 240Z I've seen. If you get it transported by weight you will be saving money there Serious dedication there George!!!
  17. It's interesting that the engine bay photo shows the brake booster on the LHS and the interior shots shows the car to be RHD? Something is going on...
  18. This car is one of my favourite Zeds. Once I get my rb26 zed sorted will look into getting a sequential box behind it too
  19. love the double rear view mirrors lol
  20. Considering everything you have said Gavin personally don't think that car was worth $24k.

  22. Thank you Alan for documenting and sharing to what can only be described as a dream build. Your way of explaining and the detail of the rebuild of the car lets the rest of us live and dream a little
  23. Surely it's not too hard to refit the fenders before selling a car?!
