  1. here is the inside of a Z432-R, notice it looks stripped out? This is how they came.
  2. I know there is alot of electronics etc on the RB motor, but is their anyway that you could hook up triple carbs to an RB motor? It would be basically removing the injectors and replacing with carbs, vacuum signal would have to be taken somewhere. maybe a airbox over the carbs could give a balanced vacuum signal. Could the engine run without the computer controlling injectors? It would be very complex if it could be done. Anyone with RB experience chime in with your thoughts.
  3. History of the Z432 and Z432-R. It was the 432-R that come standard with bucket seats. http://zhome.com/History/432Z.htm Picture of the buckets seen below are from this site. (WHICH BY THE LOOKS OF IT IS KATS CAR) www.geocities.jp/datsunz903/
  4. very good info.
  5. lol I might just make my car into a 432 look alike. I would love it, but I can not justify the money. even though it would not cost much to live under a sheet of tin cooking on burning milk cartons. lol
  6. lol probably the extractors that they are calling an octopus. I might start calling extractors octopus's myself. Could be japanese slang. They do look like octopus's afterall. sort of.... I actually have the money to buy that 432... House or 432? that is the question lol. don't 432's come with some short bucket seat arrangement or is it just the 432-R's that had these seats? Clean car either way.
  7. I am getting an appraisal on it currently, I do not know when it will be done. I can send you the info that I get back.
  8. Sydney is where this bloke lives. He sold me my new RB25 motor and delivered it to me in his car, we then swapped my L28 for his RB25. Lets just say there is a black (correction dark blue) 240Z with an L28 for about $8000 in Sydney currently. you will find it on this forum.
  9. Which kart track was that one?
  10. $99 for an air ticket over $150 odd for a bed on the boat back $150 Fuel Plus car cost. But if you want a zed that is probably the only way to go. I do know a bloke that could deliver the car for $600 maybe a bit less from Sydney. He is a forum member and is willing to drive. But you will have to talk to him.
  11. cheers mate
  12. you will be lucky, I got my last 240Z in vic. Your only option really is to fly over and drive it back if it is driveable.
  13. http://www.rallylights.com/hella/Beams.aspx This is what I mean by beam patterns. http://www.rallylights.com/FAQ.aspx actually heaps of good info on that site for anyone interested and reading this thread.
  14. Where abouts in Tas I am in Rosebery? You will need to search the forum classifieds and ebay. There are a few reasonable examples for sale at the moment.
  15. Is there different projector lenses that distribute the light in different ways? But in conventional halogen headlights the H4 lense gives more spread I am pretty sure. I am sure I found a site years ago that explained with diagrams the different beam patterns from different lenses.
  16. Well while we are on the subject of rust protection, what other products have other people used?
  17. The only problem with them is it takes time to evaluate results. There is a lime green 72 240Z advertised on the forum that has had one installed and seems to have very little rust. The science behind them is sound.
  18. Has anyone had any experience with electronic rust protection devices? I have been looking at this 12 point one on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Electronic-Rust-Protection-Corrosion-Guard-12-points_W0QQitemZ150434898205QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Car_Parts_Accessories?hash=item23069e611d would installing the sacrafical anodes in know rust areas on the zed help?
  19. ben you say your projectors are H1 pattern. Would you know of where there is a diagram comparing H1 to H4 etc. patterns. I think H4 is the best for where I live, mountainous and coners everywhere.
  20. I notice there is a section that has peeled of from that sticker, must be why it started rusting. lol
  21. lol I think I might have already posted that somewhere, but it looks to be a good store, not sure how the prices compare to Aus suppliers
  22. Thanks for the positive feedback. Not hard to do just tedious, Print screen from PDF, copy, paste 56 odd times. into MS Publisher. I have the MS Publisher file if anyone wants it I can email it. So you can just print it out double sided straight from the computer. A while back I also printed the full workshop manual and it is binded also availible from that site. There is heps of stuff for all zed cars actually.
  23. yellazed I will Email Woza and see if he can send me an electronic template of the design. Then I will have to see if my mate can make them.
  24. Thankyou for the feedback I do like the look of those hand made kits. You could paint your light surrounds any colour you liked though? Could you not? How hot do your surround get? Would you need to use heatproof paint?
  25. Make that two, I will take the second one if there is another one about. Otherwise I will get woza to send me over the plans and I will see if I get them made at a mates engineering workshop.
