Fuck. Thought I got lucky ordering a replacement blue glass passenger window off of ebay in Australia. Ended up being 2+2. Cant be f'd Rewrapping back up north for a refund. Was my mistake not looking close enough. If anyone needs it down in Melbs feel free to shoot me a message. Free, But shoot Gav something on Paypal for the website. Located Melb's northern suburbs. Thats 2 box's of sand from japan and now the wrong one. 4th times the charm? *If anyone has one spare. Let me know. ... .... - 240/Early 260 rails.
-
I have one for you Gavin, Shooting you a message on FB
-
All good, Thought as much. Probably just opening another can of worms for myself anyway. Cheers for the reply brother

I wouldn't mind trying it out for a look. If not suitable i'll be happy to pass it on. - Mick. Wondering if its viable to have a street front/seats then a track front/seats. *if still unspoken for*

Yep same paint scheme, Had a hard time deciding between red and metallic blue. But very happy with the look of the kia stinger blue. Just gotta pull my finger out and get it done. x'mas work rush is always a pain. *There is also a 1/12 big scale ignition models fairlady Z, in the same colors That I am taking some inspiration from. As that sitting on the desk would pair quite well.

Will do once it's painted. the blue was a vinyl wrap, - (Signwriter by trade) It had 2 different batch numbers on it, One of which went bad after application. Thought it'd be worthwhile painting it rather than another rewrap.

Well, As in the first photo, I did have the Speedhole ebay ones you've linked. They look mount and feel like the $100 you pay for them. and are completely different to the originals? =/ Original mirrors would be nice. certainly. However at least on my build, I am sure not many will look past the modern Kia paint, rb30/26, Carbon seats and wonder why I didn't spend $1500-2000 bucks on some perfect original fender mirrors. I'm hoping these mirrors, Will at least blend in to the look, Not be a total eye sore on the finished car. (Like the plastic speedhole ebay ones are) I believe when I looked he had them as all polished, or black and polished as I purchased. I bought these with the intention of painting the polished part. However looking at them, Not going to bother making the change

Dennis Collins, Wealthy American bloke that scopes out Shelbys every other week for resell or rebuild, has gotten into an exceptionally original 240z in the states. Worth a watch for the story of the car. I Enjoy this blokes channel, Numbers are never said nor negotiated on screen. Its all about the cars/stories. (And working on there celebrity status I guess)

*Edit* 2:15. Picked the right video From memory Paul (forgot forum name sorry, Admirer from afar ) has 4 studs, With slicks, a sequential, at 800hp. I am sure you wouldn't have any dramas so long as the bolts were sure to be torqued correctly and checked regularly for reference A single M12 bolt/nut has a clamping force of 2200 pounds, *1000kgs.

Unfortunately my Z will not be out of paint until at least February, However would like to come along for some inspiration to do a better job for myself. haha. If that's alright add me to the list and shoot me the address. Also. If Anyones on the fence, I would be driving with a few empty seats from Campbellfield to Lilydale for the event and can pick someone/someone's on the way. So long as you don't mind being in a work/camping rig. Cheers - Mick.

I believe I have a dead one all be it complete if the brackets would help you, in Melbourne. Yours if you cant find anything else. Cheers Mick.
-
Think I went this route almost 10 years ago after the run-around from motorsport auto. Cheers for the reminder, Going to have to order one for the current Z. Thanks Mick.
-
Kris - Exactly what I was looking for Cheers mate. Gives me about another 20MM ish more room between driver and Wheel. Cheers again Mick.

Hi Fellas. Looking to see if anyone has any Shorter style boss hub/kit recommendations. Looking at the NRG Option but cannot find an exact measurement I'm looking for on there website. ie - Bottom of wheel nut to actual wheel face. Currently have some generic Autotechnica one that sits around 45mm from Bottom of nut to wheel face. Hoping to gain around 20-25mm of space between seat back and wheel. Cannot move seat further back as rollcage hoop is restricting that. I'm aware I could also go for a straighter wheel option if required. Any info would be a great help. Cheers Mick.

Ah I get ya. We chose to leave that gusset attached and simply drill off the air tube, Impressive to see the job done without those in place to assist with lining up Suppose that's the difference of being a specialised shop with an appropriate jig made up. Very nice work. *Note* I Only required one side to be replaced, Not sure if a full clip would slide in over those gussets or not.

Damn that's a lot of work, Especially with Sandblasting happening afterwards. Looking at those 1/4 panels, Little Scary. My 2 seater was in a similar yet, More isolated accident to the passenger side. Did you find the cowl panel to be bent (with firewall still straight) ? or just removed for blasting? Very much looking forward to the journal on this one. Reminds me of Revzed's old bus. They look great Imo.

The Ebay Thread #2 - Post Ebay Parts Here!
Michael replied to XRQTR's topic in Parts and Tools for Sale
HKS Surge tank ** the new product was originally crystal-painted, but the paint has stopped after many years. It looks cool as it is, but I think it's okay to paint it with crystals to make it beautiful. Nismo Solex is attached to the image, but the exhibition is only for the surge tank. Please be careful. ** May just be the tank? still cheap. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n1004080359 -
Ah Matty, All good brother. Happy just to know its not going to pop back up for sale and make me pull out another dashboard I managed to pick a 260z dash up off another member awhile ago, Repaired and flocked as you suggested Gavin, It's okay, But if the opportunity was there to pick up the original dash I couldn't have resisted. Thanks again fellas for getting back to me, And for the alternative suggestions Gav. -Cheers Mick.
-
Cheers Gavin, Ideally, That specific dash. If not available. it would be great to get some detailed shots of the stitching(is it black?) so I can get someone to reproduce this finish. Relatively closely. I Just received the auction photos from when it was sold in japan and would somewhat like to keep the interior taste as how it was recreated then.
-
Hey guys, Long shot I know. I was the one who purchased the shell of the Fairlady Z in this post. Repairs have been going Reasonably well. And I'm wondering if the other person that purchased the dash, Has installed it in there Z or is willing to part with it. - Cheers Mick. - Also apologies if this is not the correct way of trying to relocate the part on the forum. - Mick.
-
