  1. Oops..yes you are right! forgot about that little detail. I'll shut up now.
  2. Tricky part is you may have to find the oil pump drive spindle for that distributor; the standard one won't fit. In the US they are common.
  3. lol Simon... Best answer out of all those would be e:... best way I can describe it is as a rotary switch..switching different windings on the rotor at specific times. Its all about magnetism.
  4. I think if you reverse polarity of a DC motor, the timing is severely retarded so not only will it spin more slowly, it will have no power.. Timing is done by the position of the brushes on the commutator...
  5. Is that what you did with granny's dead body? is the dog still tied up off the rear tow hook?
  6. Something stinks here...and it ain't my 4 month old's crappy nappy...
  7. Worth it for the rear diff and axles!! Wouldve been good if it was in Vic..
  8. What type drive does it have John? Is it a spline/tongue or just like a standard tongue?
  9. I'm sure it happens on Saturday and Sunday mornings...
  10. Anyone want it before it goes to the evil overlord Ebay?...let me know...thanks!
  11. Looks like EFI hardware throttles.... Fuel rails hang over the trumpets heh? Peter, can u make another one while your at it? hehehe
  12. Reports say "Rain developing" which most of the time means rain later on in the day...I hope! Last time it rained there I got bogged in the carpark trying to get out! Worn semi slicks in mud don't work to well..
  13. I know a few people asking about blower fan upgrades..can't wait for this one.
  14. With the question about what speeds was the zed doing on the Mulsanne straight, I read they were doing lap times of around 4:30?ish.. So if you can find out info and times on cars doing similar laps not too long ago before they changed the track, you should be able to find out avg speeds.
  15. A few members have PM'd me with their requests so I'm still going through them, but what's left are just some tatty ones that I will give to Bruce (SpaMaster). Only had about 3-4 avg pairs so it will be cheaper than what I quoted. None left so thanks to everyone..
  16. For you Bruce, the price of a large Banana Big M....they just might have a speaker hole in them or large tear or both.
  17. You shouldn't have to do that with the setup you have... I'm running a 15/16th master with 4 pot fronts and R31 rear but with a small 240Z booster. Your pads aren't glazed over are they? Or a vacuum leak or has the booster failed? Check the one way valve that's on the firewall to make sure that it's only one way....
  18. Gareth, has that Mikuni manifold sold yet? If not...me wantee....
  19. The best condition ones will be around $200-150 a pair. I'll post up pics showing the conditions of each probably tonight..
  20. Hahahaha...what a classic. Did you tell his missus she was focusing on the wrong car? Oh well...good pics and looked nice and slippery! Did the snake have an issue with traction?
  21. Curious to the reserve that's on it...could be around $5Kish? Lots of parts to chase up though..part of the fun!
  22. The paint can't get on quick enough! Excellent progress...can't wait!
  23. Hi again, Have a few door trims for 240Z's both sides in various states; from very good to tatty ones with speaker holes etc. Depending on what you need, I may be able to help. Thanks. Can post/courier for extra co$t.
  24. Still available if anyone is desperate for a screen!!...and seal but no chrome trims unfortunately..
  25. +1 with the ignition switch that may be at fault; seen it before! Remove the cover on the steering column and like Peter said, move the wires around and see if it cuts the engine. Another one is connectors on the coil; some people pull on the wires instead of the connector and breaking the conductors inside the wire. Where you can't see the break but only contacts now and then.
