    Seeing you're on a budget pappa why don't you see if either set of your struts have wet legs. Then you can rebuild them with new seals and some fork oil, (or transmission fluid) i have them in my Zed!

    It's warped! . The curve in it looking from the rear looks off centre. It's the quality i don't like.

    I wasn't even looking for plates for my Zed and had never even given it much thought. Even when i found BAD 260 for $250 at a swap meet in Ballarat i had to go home and have a good think about it for 24hours. Personalized number plates are a luxury for most and mine were just standard plates that someone had on the Hotrod which they paid a standard price for but for me they were worth the price tag. I wonder how much mine would fetch on ebay. Maybe i should list them to see what someone would pay for them!

    This project has been on hold since the owner started up a new Business on the main street in Ballarat which was the old Unicorn Hotel. As soon as he is ready we need to strip down the block and we're going for some oversize forgies, h -beam rods and Moly rings as it has a serious amount of blow by. Custom wheels and a new diff are also on the drawing board but we may swap the lot into another car of much better quality.

    Sorry i missed your reply, if in doubt PM Pull out the emulsion tubes and if you look down there you will see a gallery ( a hole round in shape) going off to the side on an angle. If the level in the carby is correct the fuel should be just a couple of mm below this hole. Above and it will flood.

    The fit is good but the panels will need re-alingment. The skin seems to be not as long but there's a lot of ways to adjust this out! It's not the first one i've done.

    I bought the manual (hahahaha) for it too but yes it's very well documented. I used a mixture of the web and the book to rebuild it. Was a reasonable learning curve. I bought the heavy duty kit with the monster reaction shell from Ross off fleabay.

    After being delayed a week rebuilding my first auto, a Turbo 700 4L60E, i decided to tackle the passenger side door first. I won't bother you good people with countless picture of my rust repair follies instead just a few pics and a brief update over the next couple of months. The door skin will be thrown away (recycled) and replaced with a new one. The entire bottom lip, both corners and half way up the handle side have been cut out and replaced on the door frame.

    I've seen a lot of people do that, works well but you won't have a restrictor!! The stock fuel line have them otherwise you get no fuel pressure.

    I would really like to see a picture of the final product because the latest stuff i've seen from the dash doctor is nowhere near up to the standard of what it used to be!

    More than likely it will be the hoses connected to it! I have had two leak from the core.
