260 zed systems are quite complex even early ones , vaccuum hoses ,wirea and the evaprator is huge, i guess it must have been quite a juggle, with a bit of trial and error im sure, anyway well done,pleasant hot days driving ahead

260zeds air con were all fully itergrated so i really dont know how it would fit a 240z, a small under dash unit fitted under the glove box fits ok the rest has to be custom made new hoses , condensor etc, 260z compressor and bracket is ok to use with most systems, unicla japan is the only after market system that intergates with the origonal ventilation system on a 240z without to much trouble. but just as tim said, new thermal exansion valve condensor and hoses is the go , most needs to be custom made as nothing just bolts straight in, good idea tho air con in a 240z perfect.

the add is for a 260z gearbox, i replied as sold to me , turned out the box was not a 260z is a 280zx box, Tim has 2 boxes, he thought they were both 260 boxes, the 260 box is a spare for his car, he is selling the car and the 260box is a spare if the buyer wants it, when i had determined it was a 280 box i didnt want it , i needed a 260 box, tim replied that if he decided to sell the 260 box separately i would be the first to know, considering i was the first to reply to his add , re; 260z 5 speed gearbox , so he has now advertised both the boxes for sale and i wasnt informed first, hey glen i didnt need to read the thread, because nobody knew this except tim and myself

it sounds ok if the owners been driving it reguarly it must be ok and if you dont need rwc i say go for it if you can drive it down the road its a good start to getting into a zed , if its a 2 seater?

40 to 50 k i thought may have come closer to the party, are you a recipient of the global finacial market, how much have you spent on this vehicle, dont bring the market back, i would be pushing future market figures not current, for e.g approx 80k closer dont you think????

gearshift knuckle and shaft selector is worn beyond repair , box out and strip

when the car had a 3.5 auto diff you need to slip it even more to get it off the mark

you may not be able to get standard pistons in it probably done a squillion miles by the time its honed your on to the next size piston, whats the issue with boring

get anything you want depends on whether or not you want it and then what your going to do with it once you have it

whats the problem with 86mm flat top pistons, if you want to keep your L26 and make it go

thats where the problem starts, they arnt available, and the only one that is available is 18mm , is a home made job bit of gal pipe off the old electric water heater and some old exhaust clamps kiddin., no i had it made still waiting for the rest of the batch to be finished i think i have sold 6 allready very popular

i found that fitting a 13mm rear sway bar helps too , 18mm on rear is ok at p.i but not sandown ,

on the 18 of january 2009 ndsoc goes to SANDOWN for the first time of the year!!!! IT GOT VERY EXCITING We HAD TO GET UP AT 6 AM TO GET A SHED, WE HAD A FEW PROBLEMS WITH our car we havent driven the 240 in a while so we came this day so we can give it the moment it needs to have. 8) when we got there we were low on fuel and i only put a bit of fuel in the tank so i had to come in pits My son heard that there was a passenger session and he was so excited to go on but half of the time i was using my sons go karting helmet so we went home and got his helmet and came back cause i put the helmets in the wrong covers hahaha but sadly my son did not get to go on the session cause he had to be about 13 wat a waste of time :'( :'( then we put all the fuel we had into the tank and then the 240z was flying.. sm needles flew out the door when premo unleaded was introduced , slowly over time tuning of cars has changed accordingly to the fuel available, there are cams available for efi which differ for carby application

sorry didnt see the pics , your car is a 280z not 280zx it should have a cat convertor on it , but to answer your question the bottle is a vaccuum storage tank for the heater and ventilation system no cables here, dont go pulling any hoses off unless you have a problem it

a 3.5" exhaust, i wouldnt be suprised if there was 3.1litre motor lurking under your hood, now you hope that the rest of the year follows with bargains like that, once in a life time , top buy.

there is a pair of number plates owned by a ndsoc life member , he has 2 240z, number plates are DIS240 and DAT240, so his one is the 0 and yours O 0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o good move why didnt i think of that der

the wheels look great, where are they made? i assume most of the people that purchased these wheels are aware that you will have to make many steering and suspension geometry changes to accomodate 17.0 inch wheels if you dont your car will be darting all over the road , and wearing tyres out real fast, remember too that by vic roads safety standards maximum of 2 inch increase in wheel diameter over what the manufacturer fitted, and if so then brakes need to be upgraded too , would require power steering in a 260z dont mean to be boring , i may purchase a set myself too

13.1 on boost thats very lean isnt it ,wont the engine ping and detonate it self at that a/f ratio are you sure these figures are right, it just dosnt seem right to me
