  2. you may be able to use a 260z 2+2 weight mine weighs 1154kg without spare it also says it weighs that much on my rego so i guess it would be right, also a 2+2 in nsw is classed as a sedan. cheers pauly

  4. Finally my 280zx is up for sale. I'm open to offers. now for some info. (the bad) she is an auto, has a couple of dints( one in the door the other in the roof both could be pulled out ) , just ran out of rego 2 weeks ago, has many km some paint flaking and will be sold without engine or brake master cylinder will come with all efi gear. ( the good )she is a hard top with a sold roof ( no rust or bog i can find) the auto is in good condition but torque converter has crapped itself, has had struts replace with Gabriell struts, has very little rust ( in bottom of doors and some in back skirt under the the bumper near the exhaust ), interior is complete but dash is cracked, rear cover for lights needs recovering and strut housing has a rip in it. the rest is immaculate the seats have no rips burn holes or blemishes i can find the carpet is in good condition and still has original tape player that works but is currently unplugged, all electrics work apart from a couple of gauges one due to no fuse. she will be sold with a complete set of rims the ones on the front with tyres. front pads have been replace and in good working order. 5% of the sale will be donated to the forum due to the forum due to all the help i have been given even from lurch from time to time. it will be sad to see her go as i would have love to keep her but have too many cars and a 260z also. she would be perfect for someone to restore as there has been so much done and she is in awesome condition for her age. if you have any questions or need some more info feel free to pm me or call or text me on 0423679877 if i don't answer leave a message and ill get back to you asap. cheers Pauly
  5. yeh that wont be an issue as the engine is completly striped for the moment here is what it looks like. also it has those wing things in the centre and is an e30 or e88 camshaft thats why im so confused cause all the B grinds ive seen just have B stamped on the end nit B4. cheers pauly
  6. hey everyone i have a camshaft that came with my 260z when i bought it, the camshaft is a B4 cam the B is big and the A is small and there touching the thing is it also has 2 pilot holes drilled in the back one central the other offset. has anyone ever seen one before as it sounds identical to the bre datsuns. can someone please shed some light on where it has come from the factory, reground etc . cheers pauly
  7. so can i in my 2+2 bus i have 235 at this point in time on the rear and there is plenty of room.
  8. sometimes owning a bus is i good thing i see i can fit 235 on the front of mine 260z 2+2 min you its close but i had no issues for 6 months no scraping or anything. cheers pauly

  12. i get mine from our local guys it usualy cost me about $22 , even from repco its usualy only $25. hunt around and ask some local parts suppliers. cheers pauly

  15. truly i have had many dealing with him and he seems fine but i do know that he has a bad rap with the 300zx community mind you he refuses to touch them himself as hes old fashioned. cheers pauly
  16. theres normally a cap on the end of the return with a small hole in it which keeps pressure up. it will work fine without though, this comes from personal experience, from what i can gather they used the return line in case there is to much pressure stored in the carbie IE when your hard shifting the engine its revving hard then when you clutch there is no need for such a volume of fuel which could cause a build up of pressure in the lines and carbs. hope this helps. cheers Pauly

  19. that is so not nice lurch i will still have my 260z and i will still use poor grammar for ya bruz i noes you luvs it heaps. but on a serious note i was intending on keeping the old girl at the moment but i may consider selling it minus the engine. i will take some pics tomorrow . thank you all pauly

  21. like the post with the video it has been done before, a man in my town done it although he had done a Rb25dett conversion. what you will need will be some good amount of torque and like many others have said some balls, i also agree that suspension is the biggest downfall. what i would be doing is replacing your suspension i would be speaking to benzed for that one as he has weld on kits, get some camber adjusters welded in and run a quite stranded l28ET setup in your car as they do make good power with minimal cost compared to strokers etc. if you are really keen id go for it. cheers Pauly
