Jason, I was including time required to keep the throat from getting parched with the sacred amber beverage of my choice.

Greg, it's only a couple of hours to change the diff. I may have a locked 4.8:1 diff to match the gearbox soon up for sale.

Greg, I will know in the next week or so if I will have one of the early 260 boxes for sale. Just waiting to hear if the car goes as a whole or not. Plus for a little extra, my fresh race motor will also be available for you......
  4. For those asking about the engine, i managed to dig up the Dyno sheet from when it was first tuned when the motor was built in May 2010. The motor made 195rwhp and 212ft/lb of torque, with both power and torque curves relatively flat, basically the motor is like an old truck motor in that it is lazy, but it does pull better than a 14 year old school boy.
  5. Mines still a fair way off, got pushed to the back of the queue for paint as I changed jobs and haven't had time to chase up some bits needed, plus I put the hairdresser car in for a quick respray to hide the scarring from the one Lakeside track day i did in it.
  6. With all the Valiants the White Knight should fit in, but then again, it may offend us Chargerphiles
  7. My First Z was a 260 2 door, ex Steve cox rally car, not the white one that Dat2kman sat in to win a trophy, but the one that eneded up on its roof. I played with it for a couple of years and eneded up racing it in Division 2 Marque sports cars in NSW. The car ended up being split between the shelf at Z16 in western Sydney and in my second Z. As an ex rally car the shell was in very ordinary condition, you could jack one corner up and couldn't open or close either door or the bonnet, a few years of rallying really took its toll, even with a full cage welded into it.
  8. For zedevan, here is a video of the Zed at it's shakedown run last August at QR, before we went to Morgan Park for the one hour enduro. Apparently I jagged fastest time of the day, not bad for making sure everything was working right.
  9. I have a pair, but in brisbane. They are complete with frames and door mechanism, but no windows or winders, came off the race car. A little bit of rust, but very easy repair and will only need a repaint for your colour. Matt
  10. hawk pads ordered direct from the states. Email hawk to get general advice on the compound and then go to hawkpadsdirect.com to order them. They will take about a month to come through but at $80 a set to the door over $180 a set in Aust. how can you go wrong???
  11. The 0247 number is correct, Emu Plains is just west of Penrith, coincidently my old stamping ground. Mick may have been away on holidays for the last week, it was rally Australia up at Coffs over the weekend just gone.
  12. Nope S14 or S15 is the replacement car in mind to stay in the Prodsports category
  13. If that n was an s we could talk......
  14. You could also try Ryno insurance, they seem to be a good alternative to Shannons. Or try a specialist insurance broker who may be able to get you a good deal.
  15. Yes, yes it would...... But I have a vested interest
  16. The centre holes of the Magna rotors also need to be enlarged by about 3mm, well they do on mine anyway for the last three sets of rotors i've used on the race car. last set i had modified to suit cost me about $80 each to get all the machining done at a pretty quick turn around, so you maybe able to get it done cheaper.
  17. I do!!!!! The only problem for you Simon is that it comes complete with an L29, so maybe a little more than what you are looking to pay.
  18. I may have at the end of September if the Z isn't sold as a package, if you can wait that long, located in Brisbane, but an working at Carrarra at the moment.
  19. A bit of an update, there has been plenty of interest in specific parts. And those who have messaged me with their list know where in line they are. There has been some interest in the package, but no dollars yet. After leaving it in the garage for a few weeks, I have had another quick look at the car and it looks like it would pull out ok on a rack. Hopefully my panel beater will be able to see it ok the next week or so. Also, if It is sold as a package to be used as a competition car the log book can be included. This means the cage will still be compliant with the shell.
  20. Engine type: L28 Engine size: 2950 Tank size: 60 litres l/100km: 25-40 Standard L28 injectors on 280 turbo log Or, on the dyno, fuel delivery measured at around 2-2.5 l/s to the injectors.
  21. i know two little ones who still like you ;D
  22. Would love to but the rules keep a Z uncompetitive against the modern competition, Pete's awesome weapon is just too good for prod sports. I hope the new owner gets Peter to finish it to how it should be finished and show how quick a zed can go without rules to limit the performance.
  23. Mick's also a bit of a guru with L series motors, he had a very quick 1600 when I was starting out in the mid to late 80's.
  24. Scoot, get a quote from e-go couriers, the wheels I bought off Adam were less than $50 from Sydney address to Brisbane depot.
  25. What? Run out on the road and get cleaned up or cap all over the back yard.....
